Zoya Share the Love

If you don’t use this link, you will not get a $5 coupon. I don’t get a coupon from this link, it is strictly for me to share the love to you. I get Share the Love points. After so many points I do get something. I’m not sure if it’s a coupon or product for me to review. Zoya has some fun colors for this summer, so take advantage of this offer. A bottle of their polish is $8 shipping is $6.95, so it would make sense to order a couple bottles, go in with your friends, but get the $5 coupon.
One of my subbies has used it already and she said it was easy. When you go to their website from this link, open an account. To open the account they just want your name and email. No address, no bank info, nothing like that. Once your account is open you will have $5 to spend! She ordered 2 bottles, Zara and Rica! I can’t wait for her to get them. I’m probably more excited than she is!

Zoya Share the Love

let me know what colors you get! Can’t wait to see them all!;)

I received my Julep maven box this month in the It Girl. As you know I am an American Beauty but this month I liked the It Girl box better so thats what I got. Easy peasy one two three! The box came immaculately packaged, as always with a bottle of Niecy, a rich hot pink, Penelope, a soft baby pink and Jessica, a soft baby blue. The extra treats for me were some chocolate Easter eggs, foam toe separators and a make up bag. The make up bag is just the right size, has pockets built in and has a cute zipper pull

I am wearing Niecy and Mandy in my half & half manicure, which, by the way I do believe to have invented this look. I have not seen anyone else do it. I’ve seen a different color on each nail, I’ve seen the “ombré” effect of 5 colors shades from one color, but i have not seen the half & half. Whether you like it or not, I do so I will continue coming up with different combinations. Not that everyday is a half & half day, just those days when I can’t choose which color I want to wear!

Now back to Julep, you all know how much I love this company by now, but there is one aspect that hasn’t been talked about. Did you know you can send your maven box to a friend? Now think about this, let’s say your friend who lives three states away is having a birthday and you totally forgot to get anything off in the mail to her! Or you are on a cruise and realize the date? You can ask Julep to send her your maven box for that month. How great would that be as a birthday gift? The only down side is you won’t have your box but I’m sure Julep would help a girl out. If you had Julep send the box you would never have to be concerned with packaging because theyalways package so nicely and there is usually an extra treat inside too. Anyway, keep that in mind for your friend’s birthday. I would say for best friends only! Just one more reason why I love this company.
I talked with the Maven Team on Friday about the promo code to still get your first box for one penny, and that is still going on. They charge you one penny only. No shipping, no tax, just one penny. It’s not free, but you can’t get any closer to free than that.

I received a package in the mail yesterday from one of my You Tube friends, April. Her sign on for YouTube is GlitterGyrl. You know anyone with that sign on has got to be ok. At least in my book! April is a professional nail technician, she does awesome videos and also likes to go to garage sales and thrift stores. If we lived in the same town I’m sure we would be besties. A couple of months ago I received a full size roll on glitter by NYX in my MYGlam bag. I knew I wouldn’t use the glitter and that April would, so I sent it to her. I wasn’t expecting it, but she sent me the cutest little make up bag with 2 nail polishes and a top coat.

The polish is by a company called Venique. It is fairly new, launched November 2011. The colors she sent me are Kitten Slide Heels, the one I’m wearing and Hard to Sole.

I must say, this is the nicest polish I’ve used in a long time. It goes on very smooth, dries fast, four minutes and takes one coat. In the sunlight it has a golden gleem, that’s the only way I know how to describe it. Absolutely gorgeous. I almost wrecked my car because I was looking at how beautiful this polish is instead of paying attention to the road! Oops!

I tried to get a picture of this gorgeousness in the sunshine but didn’t quite capture it, in all it’s glory. I was happy to see these 🙂

I’m dying to get my hands on some of their newest colors. On their webpage they show a new collection that says available January 2012. They also show some very pretty glitter, and holographic type colors. They do have a Facebook page. I could not find anywhere in town where I could purchase this brand. If you see this brand, and you’re not sure about it, all I can say is, buy it.. I don’t think you will be sorry. I will continue to look for, and will post when I find more of this brand.

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it! I really love it when you rate and comment! 🙂

This is a review of some products that were sent to me by Birch Box for review. There were a total of 5 products sent, I used 4 of the products. I will tell you my thoughts on the 4 I used. But first, let me tell you what the company claims about this skin care line. (I am quoting from the information I was sent.)
“Since 1931, Vichy has been the secret to healthy-looking skin. Loaded with a unique antioxidant mineral water from Vichy, France, these intelligent formulas soothe, comfort, and fight signs of aging. And, since the products are designed for sensitive skin, allergy-tested and paraben-free, your skin will be as healthy as it looks. Try them and your skin will thank you.”

The products I tried out was their 3 in 1 Cleanser, Day cream, Night cream and Eye Make up remover. They also included a packet of cellulite remover, which was a caffeine product. I know French women swear by the caffeine creams to get rid of cellulite. Fortunately for me, I don’t have cellulite (I Know!) so I gave this packet to a friend. I haven’t heard back from her. I think if she liked it, I would have heard.

I did use all the other products. The cleanser is touted as a 3 in 1, cleanser, toner and eye make up remover. It was not effective at eye make up removal. After using this I felt like I “needed” a toner. (I don’t use toners). The other thing about this cleanser that I could not get past is the smell. It smells very nice, very lovely, too lovely in fact. The fragrance from this cleanser was more powerful than most hand lotions I use from Bath & Body Works.. The same is true for the day cream and night cream. The night cream is not as fragrant, but the rest of the line is, very lilac-y. Which is a great fragrance, I just don’t want it in myskin care products. The day cream has no SPF.. For a company advertising healthy, younger looking skin, I am shocked by this. Also, the eye make up remover they provided did not work very well. I used about one-fourth of the bottle to try to remove my eye make up. Luckily I have eye make up remover from CHANEL that works like a dream.

I have had these products for about 6 weeks. When I first started using them, I broke out, across my chin. At that time I was also using different samples from Sephora, Birch Box, New Beauty Test Tube, so I stopped everything and went back to my basics. Then I received an email from Birch Box asking how I liked the Vichy products. I thought I’d better give the Vichy another try. This time, within a few days I broke out something terrible on my cheek! I have a regular “pattern” of breakouts on my chin, but when I broke out in my “cheek” I knew it was the Vichy, so I stopped using it.
Aside from the zits, even if I had no break out what so ever, I still would not recommend this product. Because of the overly, perfume scent. If I want to smell pretty, I will apply perfume. I do not want my skin care products to be perfumed!

I started out the day with OPI I Don’t Give A Rotterdam from their Holland collection. This is a pretty, sparkley blue color.

But then I woke up to another day like this

Because of the rain, and one gray day after another I painted my nails with Meryl from Julep. It’s only fitting don’t you think? I’m so tired of the rain…..I know it won’t be long and I’ll be complaining of the heat, but just one day of no rain would be nice. I don’t even mind the gray, cloudy day, if would just stop raining! Waaaa!

Ok, I’m done now! no more complaints about the weather. I feel better!
