Rest In Peace, My Dear Friend, Rest in Peace

Posted on: July 6, 2012

This is a copy of part of my post from a couple of weeks ago.. My post was about true love and happily ever afters. This was the story of my former husband and his fiancé. Shortly after he proposed she was diagnosed with cancer. This was about the end of March, middle of April when the Doctor’s told her there was no treatment and she would die, soon. We didn’t know it would be this soon. She lost her battle this morning at 8:30.

(My original post…part of it anyway. The post was about one person walking away from her happily ever after, These 2 having it ripped from them by the hand of God, and that yes there are happily ever afters, as in my parents, but theirs is about to come to an end as well.)
Life is too Short. On Sunday of this weird week, I said good bye to a friend. Not good bye like see ya next week, or have a great trip, but GOOD BYE.
This friend of mine is dying and does not have very many days left. She is my ex-husbands fiancé. They have been together for many years, they bought a house together here a couple of years ago, he recently proposed to her. Shortly thereafter, she was diagnosed with cancer. She has cancer all through her body, every organ is affected. The tumors are growing rapidly and she will die, soon.

People may find it odd that I said Good Bye to her and that I consider her my friend. I genuinely like her, always have. I’ve known her for many years even before she started dating my ex-husband. She is one of those kind of people who is always happy, always smiling and so friendly one can’t help but like her. She loves my ex-husband with all she has and what’s even better he loves her with all his heart. She is the love of his life.. This does not make me angry or jealous, it honestly makes me happy that he has someone who cares so deeply for him. Even though we are divorced, he was my husband, he is the father of my children, and I will always love him. All I ever wanted for him, was for him to be happy. With her, he is happy. Without her, his heart will be broken.

I had a nice visit with her, just the 2 of us. I thanked her for loving (I’m not mentioning his name) and for being so good to my kids and my former father-in-law. These people are my family. She has been an integral part of that family, even more so than me, I wanted her to know that I acknowledge that, and truly appreciate the love she has shown all of them. Her parents arrived for a visit so I left. When I hugged her good bye she told me she loved me and I told her I loved her. As I was headed out the door she said, I really mean that. and I told her I really mean that. And I do. . She is a great and wonderful woman who will be sorely missed.

E-bates.com is Money in the Bank!

Each store has a cash back percentage, some more, some less. In 2015 my cash back amount was $138. I didn't do a lot of shopping because of, well you know. Try it, and please use my link because yes I do get a part of that back. I promise it will all go back into my blog to purchase nail polish lipstick and other items to review for you. Haute Look for Amazing Deals ~ A Nordstrom Company

HAUTELOOK is a Nordstrom company. They have a return policy that allows you to return items purchased online to be re- turned to their Rack stores. I have never had a bad experience shopping at Nordstrom nor HAUTELOOK. I HGHLY RECOMMEND BOTH STORES. Be sure to go to Hautelook on Monday Dec 1st To see what great deals they will have on butter LONDON polish. Butter LONDON is a mid-priced polish with a high end quality. I'll see you there, bright and early! http://www.hautelook.com/short/3Bg7v

Betty’s Blog

I have been a busy dog because my Mom has this new seizure disorder and its up to me to keep her home when she needs to. I also let her know when it's time to take me for my walk, my neighbors like me too.
My mom won't let me leave the yard but the other day I had to wake mom up and take her outside so she could call 911 for the neighbor lady who was having a heart attack. The firemen tried to take me with them but my mom, and I,, both said no.
It's starting to warm up and we have lots of birds and squirrels,. My mom doesn't like me chasing the squirrels, or the birds because we have a nest in one of the trees. She said we have to be quiet. Maybe I can send you a pic of the baby birds? I'll try.
Have a happy spring, my mom and are going to!
Love, Betty
