NOTD: Shout Out to London!
Posted August 1, 2012
on: I first saw this little kit of 3 pink polishes about a year ago, on my favorite blog ever, the BritishBeautyBlogger (BBB). Never in a million years would I think I would ever own this kit. But, I am a lucky girl with a very nice friend who writes my second favorite blog ever, called Diana’sMake-UpWorld.
Diana and I put together a small swap and included in my package from her was this little kit. I did not ask for it, but Diana knew I read the BBB every day and Diana also knows it is important to me to support important causes. Which is what this little kit does, besides making my nails look fab, it raised a lot of money for breast cancer research in the UK.
The story goes, the beauty uk wanted to come up with a plan to raise money for breast cancer research. Beauty uk teamed up with Paint for Life and came up with this brilliant idea to produce 3 shades of pink, named hope, love and strength. If I remember correctly a contest was held to name the colors and a young man whose mother was afflicted with this disease came up with the names. All 3 shades are perfect shades of pink and like my friend Diana knew, I love that £1 from every sale goes directly to breast cancer research.
I know I get a ton of hits on my blog from the UK, so please, if you see this little set for sale, please pick it up. Even if you don’t care for the colors it would make a great little birthday gift for one of your friends or even for your Mom.
I’m sorry about the goofy photos, but I wanted to show you how I used all 3 colors today. Each hand is painted different, and you know me, I like different.
Thanks for stopping y today and please stop by my friends blog. She is so knowledgable about skin care and does a lot more reviews of products than I do. Please visit Diana’s blog
Hope you have a great day!💅
