Halloween Wounds ~ Creepy

Posted on: October 13, 2012

This is what my arm looked like after adding a little bit of glue, black eyeliner, red lipstick and some blue, green, and brown eyeshadows.

Another view of wounded arm.

Scar on my face, from using make up.

Small wound from an axe going into my face.

๐ŸŽƒWhen I was married, we had a grocery store and a toy store. Every Halloween the store would be so crazy busy for costumes and make up. We also had a Halloween Ball every year held at the Fair Building that was a lot of fun. There would be a costume contest. I got started doing Halloween make up because these guys would come into the store, last minute needing a costume for the party, but by then we usually only had make up left. I would get them to buy the make up and then I would use it on them. I would make a Frankenstein, Raggedy Agatha, zombies, car wreck victims, hit by lighting, you name it. I was always so tickled when one of my make up jobs would win the costume contest.
One of my favorite costumes I did for a girl was where she was half perfect and half hit by lighting. I believe she might have won that year. I did a similar look for Jilly a couple years later. Jilly was a cheerleader, half pretty and half hit by lightening.

๐ŸŽƒJilly is on the right and her brother Drew is in front of her. He was a soldier who had just been bombed with something, he wanted a red face like that. We always had so much fun on Halloween at our house. Our neighborhood wold get over 600 trick or treaters, so it was a busy night. At the end of the night the neighborhood would have a potluck, I always made chili. Good memories, and I know my kids still love Halloween, even though they are full grown adults!๐Ÿ‘ปโšก

Let me know if you are planning on “wounding” anyone this Halloween! ๐Ÿ‘ป๐Ÿ˜ก๐ŸŽƒ

Oh yikes! Scarey! You did a great job! I bought a few little things to play with for a Halloween video if I can find the time soon. ~D

Such a great idea, and the wounds look so real! I love Halloween, it’s always fun… when we were still living in Britain, there was always a huge Halloween party in our student accommodation. Miss it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Oh, I hope you do, I will look forward to that!

I miss Halloween when my kids were little, we had so much fun, but now the neighborhood I live in I don’t even get a trick or treater. I still have fun making wounds on people though! Thanks for the comment. ๐Ÿ™‚

HAUTELOOK is a Nordstrom company. They have a return policy that allows you to return items purchased online to be re- turned to their Rack stores. I have never had a bad experience shopping at Nordstrom nor HAUTELOOK. I HGHLY RECOMMEND BOTH STORES. Be sure to go to Hautelook on Monday Dec 1st To see what great deals they will have on butter LONDON polish. Butter LONDON is a mid-priced polish with a high end quality. Betty’s Blog

I have been a busy dog because my Mom has this new seizure disorder and its up to me to keep her home when she needs to. I also let her know when it's time to take me for my walk, my neighbors like me too.
My mom won't let me leave the yard but the other day I had to wake mom up and take her outside so she could call 911 for the neighbor lady who was having a heart attack. The firemen tried to take me with them but my mom, and I,, both said no.
It's starting to warm up and we have lots of birds and squirrels,. My mom doesn't like me chasing the squirrels, or the birds because we have a nest in one of the trees. She said we have to be quiet. Maybe I can send you a pic of the baby birds? I'll try.
Have a happy spring, my mom and are going to!
Love, Betty
