50 Shades of Sunday ~ Cuckoo for this Color by OPI

Posted on: December 16, 2012

πŸ’… For those of you new to my blog, first off Welcome! and secondly 50 Shades of Sunday is a series I do every Sunday where I wear a polish from my collection that I’ve never worn before. It is a way for me to actually use my polish. I always say, I don’t want to collect nail polish and I don’t want to hoard nail polish, I want to wear my nail polish!!

Cuckoo for this Color by OPI . This is from the Switzerland collection released by OPI last year. This is a pretty green-blue with a bit of a silver shimmer. The shimmer comes through on the nail, slightly. Ever so slightly.

I don’t know if it’s the weather, crappy or my mood somewhat crappy or maybe it’s just that time of year, but I have been into the dark blue colors lately.
But back to Cuckoo for this Color, it has a good formula, but because of the silvery shimmer it isn’t as smooth as most OPI’s polish. I put this on in 2 thin coats and have full coverage. The first coat had some bald spots so I thought I might need 3 coats, but 2 is fine. I am cuckoo for this color. I think it’s one of this colors that can be worn with anything as it isn’t green and it isn’t blue.

You can find this color where ever OPI is sold and remember you can always buy any OPI from me. And no, it is not my polish. I have worked out a deal with a distributor and now I can sell all OPI products as well as China Glaze and Venique. Free shipping for US customers only but I will ship anywhere. Prices are in my Nail Polish for Sale” page. I set this up for people who were having a hard time finding Venique polish, it has been a fun endeavor. Someday I’d like to have a full blown web site just for nail polish. Go figure, me and nail polish! Ha! πŸ’…

The top photo shows the thermostat at my parents house. They are cold, Dad just asked me ifi was cold. Cold? No Dad, I am not cold and nothing in this house is cold. This is what happens when people who lived most of their lives on Maui retire to Idaho.
Some of you know my Dad had a heart attack this week and we almost lost him. The Doctor said it was that close to being over, but he had a few stints put in and Thursday he goes to Spokane for a pacemaker. As much as my Dad drives me crazy I love him with my whole heart and I am so glad I was able to get him to the Doctor in time. He is back to his old chair, reading the paper with half his breakfast on his chin. That’s my Dad! πŸ’—πŸ’œπŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ’šβ€πŸ’“πŸ’˜πŸ’›
πŸŽ„πŸ’… As always, thanks for stopping by.

I am so, so sorry for the families who lost their children this week. I cannot watch or listen to this story, my heart is breaking for those poor parents. May their God be with them.

Haute Look for Amazing Deals ~ A Nordstrom Company

HAUTELOOK is a Nordstrom company. They have a return policy that allows you to return items purchased online to be re- turned to their Rack stores. I have never had a bad experience shopping at Nordstrom nor HAUTELOOK. I HGHLY RECOMMEND BOTH STORES. Be sure to go to Hautelook on Monday Dec 1st To see what great deals they will have on butter LONDON polish. Butter LONDON is a mid-priced polish with a high end quality. I'll see you there, bright and early! http://www.hautelook.com/short/3Bg7v

Betty’s Blog

I have been a busy dog because my Mom has this new seizure disorder and its up to me to keep her home when she needs to. I also let her know when it's time to take me for my walk, my neighbors like me too.
My mom won't let me leave the yard but the other day I had to wake mom up and take her outside so she could call 911 for the neighbor lady who was having a heart attack. The firemen tried to take me with them but my mom, and I,, both said no.
It's starting to warm up and we have lots of birds and squirrels,. My mom doesn't like me chasing the squirrels, or the birds because we have a nest in one of the trees. She said we have to be quiet. Maybe I can send you a pic of the baby birds? I'll try.
Have a happy spring, my mom and are going to!
Love, Betty
