It’s Julep January! Yay!

Posted on: January 2, 2013

Since ya can’t beat em, join em! I’ve decided this will be Julep January 2013!! Yay!

Megan from Julep is a gorgeous, and I do mean gorgeous blue-green metallic that applied beautifully, no streaks, opaque in 2 coats, dries fast and looks beautiful. Even if I do say so myself. (As a side note, I used 2 coats of a base coat. I do that with all my blue, green or red based polish. This will help prevent staining and also makes removal easier.)
The interest in Megan was sparked when earlier today I was in Walgreens looking at all the new polish coming out for spring. Man, this spring will be interesting as there are colors all over the board. Some collections are all, about the soft pastels, some are bright pops of color, there are a bit of metallic and lots and lots of new. I know! Just when you said, and I said NO BUY! . I was a good girl and did not buy any polish. L’Oreal has some great colors, I would love to have the entire collection. One of the colors reminded me of Megan. At the time I didn’t know it was Megan, but it was close to this so for now my urge to purchase has been curbed by my old friend Megan. L’Oreal also has a gorgeous rose gold metallic that looks an awful lot like Maria from Julep. Maria is one of my favorite colors from Julep and I’ve worn her several times. In fact I’m not sure if I have enough in the bottle for a full manicure. Ha! Maria may be my first completely used up bottle of nail polish. I’ll keep you posted on that one.
You can find Julep products here
Please note: This is a referral link, but as I’ve said in the past I never have received any credit from my referral links, if you’d rather not deal with that you can always go to julep.com. Of course I would appreciate if you went through my link, fingers crossed and all.

Also, check out eBay. I’ve noticed a bunch of Julep polish listed there and that way you wouldn’t have to sign up for a subscription service. I have been looking for their polish in Drew, my son’s name. If you ever see that one, please let me know. Because of course I would have to buy that one, no matter the color.

2⃣0⃣1⃣3⃣ is upon us. I hope you all had a safe and wonderful New Year’s Eve. Mine was boring, like usual. New Year’s Day was spent with my Dad, he is not feeling so hot and today I took him to Spokane to see about getting a pacemaker. What they decided is he needs a de-fibulator implanted in a couple of weeks. A man is coming here tomorrow to fit Dad with a vest. The vest will monitor his heart and if needed it will give him a jump start. At the end of 2 weeks of his wearing this aperture we will have a clear and concise picture of exactly what is going on with him. He thinks at the end of the 2 weeks they will tell him he is fine and that will be that. Ha! My Dad is a funny man.
Don’t tell my Dad I said this but I had a really good time with him today. He is a lot of fun and we get along enough sometimes for these short road trips. 👶. Just as we were headed down the hill into town he said “I think we’re going to make it without you getting a ticket”. Everytime I drive him somewhere I get a ticket! 🚓. I made him take it back and YES. We made it without a ticket. Yay!

This is my Dad on Christmas Day, 2011. Such a cutie pie.

💅 As always, thanks for stopping by.

Hi Judi: Julep January it is – and I just found out that starting on 1/7 and going 1/13 – you can get 3 zoya nail polishes free – just pay shipping and processing charges of $10. Use Code ZOYA2013 – there are some exclusions……
I thought I would pass this along…………Judy

Thanks Judy!

E-bates.com is Money in the Bank!

If you're like me, you shop online more often than not. You need to be using ebates.com because they give you a percentage of your purchase amount BACK TO YOU. Please use this link: x-apple-msg-load://34551FF7-8289-409B-9D58-885154AB7BAF/ Which will take you to ebates, ten you pick your store and will be directed to their site. Each store has a cash back percentage, some more, some less. In 2015 my cash back amount was $138. I didn't do a lot of shopping because of, well you know. Try it, and please use my link because yes I do get a part of that back. I promise it will all go back into my blog to purchase nail polish lipstick and other items to review for you. Trust me, you have nothing to lose. I know I was very skeptical but now I just have to remember to go to ebates.com first! Let me know what you think.

Haute Look for Amazing Deals ~ A Nordstrom Company

HAUTELOOK is a Nordstrom company. They have a return policy that allows you to return items purchased online to be re- turned to their Rack stores. I have never had a bad experience shopping at Nordstrom nor HAUTELOOK. I HGHLY RECOMMEND BOTH STORES. Be sure to go to Hautelook on Monday Dec 1st To see what great deals they will have on butter LONDON polish. Butter LONDON is a mid-priced polish with a high end quality. I'll see you there, bright and early! http://www.hautelook.com/short/3Bg7v

Betty’s Blog

I have been a busy dog because my Mom has this new seizure disorder and its up to me to keep her home when she needs to. I also let her know when it's time to take me for my walk, my neighbors like me too.
My mom won't let me leave the yard but the other day I had to wake mom up and take her outside so she could call 911 for the neighbor lady who was having a heart attack. The firemen tried to take me with them but my mom, and I,, both said no.
It's starting to warm up and we have lots of birds and squirrels,. My mom doesn't like me chasing the squirrels, or the birds because we have a nest in one of the trees. She said we have to be quiet. Maybe I can send you a pic of the baby birds? I'll try.
Have a happy spring, my mom and are going to!
Love, Betty
