Now you have to admit, this is highly unusual of me to talk about something other than nail polish. I do have other interests besides nail polish, one of them being make-up.
I purchased the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour full coverage foundation because I needed just that. A full coverage, 12- hour make up that has a broad spectrum SPF 15.
It also came with this great brush. And I do mean great. I purchased this from QVC because I know that if I don’t care for the product, they will accept a return hassle free. I got it in the shade light, I wish I would have gotten the next shade darker, but I will for the summer. And yes, I love this product.. It’s a rave!
The first picture of me was when I left my house that morning, freshly made up. The next picture of me is my retun home, not so freshly made up. The foundation held up great though, no oxidation whatsoever. Woo Hoo!
Does the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour full coverage foundation get the Middle Aged Beauty Queen’s “seal” of approval? Abso-effing-lutely. This foundation applies like a dream. I put just a tab, about the size of a quarter on the back of my hand. Then I do a few things, like pull my hair back, etc.. Just for a few minutes to give the foundation a minute to warm up on my skin. Then I dot the foundation on the spots I particularly want covered, then a few on the forehead, few on the cheeks a couple in the chin, you know the drill. I use the brush to blend and smooth the foundation and it seems to melt right into my skin effortlessly. Initially I tried applying the foundation without the brush, after all I’m a girl from the 70’s we didn’t use no brushes. But the brush made all the difference in the world. I felt I had too much foundation on so I squirted a small amount of a make up setting spray onto the brush and it seemed to even out the consistency and made up for my operator error. In my opinion, the brush is worth the price of the whole set.
Did I mention this product is cruelty free? Yes, it is, see the little pink bunny? I like that.
You can get your Tarte Amazonian 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation with the brush at QVC. $38 for both, you can also order this item on auto delivery. While I was looking up the price to make sure I gave you the right amount I ordered this set in Medium
I’m looking forward to trying their new eyebrow system because as you know I have no eyebrows on the left side of my face, while the right side has eyebrows like a 12 year old boys. Go figure, another gift of ‘menopause‘.
Have you tried this product? What do you think of it? Let me know your thoughts. I’d love to hear what you think of this item. **Just a heads up: there will be a small giveaway of Tarte products in the near future, if the one currently running with Rafflecopter works out okay, so go enter! 😍
💅 As always, thanks for stopping by!

The only problem with that is,I’d need a crown and I just don’t have one. but you are too sweet to offer, we’ll just stick with Judi. 😍

I also bought this foundation/brush while it was a kit/TSV on QVC last year. I thought the foundation made me look too dry (I got it because I have an oily T-Zone) and after giving it a few tries, put it away in a drawer. Well, menopause has really dug its heels in and my skin and hair have completely changed. I use Paula’s Choice skin care (I’m a cruelty-free girl) and had to switch from her RESIST line, then to Skin Recovery and am now using Moisture Boost (which I’m loving). Anyway, after I saw that Tarte was having another TSV, I decided to pull out my Amazonian Clay foundation to give it another try and I’m LOVING it! ♥ I didn’t order the TSV because I just don’t need more foundation, but I can’t wait to hear how you like the brow product!

I won’t be getting this because I am very dry & from the reviews I think it will be too drying on me BUT I think you did a fabulous job reviewing it and your skin looked amazing. Love you!
