NOTD: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Reformulated

Pretty color, don’t you think? I do. It’s from Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure (CSM) reformulated line. I wish I could tell you the color. huh?. That’s right, I don’t know the color of this gorgeous polish, which by the way maybe my new all time favorite polish ever! So here’s what happened. We all know SH reformulated the line with added benefits and all that. Also, I knew I was going to get some “PR” samples for review but I didn’t know what or when. So of course me being me, I bought some, one of the ones I bought was labeled 490 Ruby Do. This is what I’ve painted my nails with. This is what the real 490 Ruby Do looks like
The far right bottle is the real Ruby Do. Which was in the box I received as a sample from the nicest PR person for Sally Hansen . Also included in the box was 470 Punch Drunk which is on the far left. I thought they had mis-labeled Ruby Do with Punch Drunk. But as you can see from the pictures, this color is entirely different from any of those colors.
This color is so pretty it should be named Judi’s Favorite Color. I think that would be a good idea, don’t you? Whatever the name is, its an amazing polish. Even though I did buy this bottle with mine own sad bank account, I am in love with the reformulated CSM and if you liked this brand before you will Love, Love, Love now. For 3 days I wore the I Lilac You a light purple and when I removed it today it looked as if I’d just polished my nails, no tip wear, certainly no chips and so shiny. I did not use a top coat with it but I did use my Seche-Vite with this one. I give this polish, whatever the name 5/5 stars πππππ. I think Sally Hansen has done great with the re-formulation as I can tell a difference and it’s for the better.
Sally Hansen is the Polish of theMonth for my blog and I am working on a giveaway of this great brand, specifically the reformulated ones. I’m sure it will be a blog only giveaway, I don’t have any of the details worked out yet, and I will send the winner new bottles, not ones I’ve tried. So stay tuned.
I will keep you updated when I find out the name of this polish, but in the mean time I’m calling it “My New Favorite!
π As always, thanks for stopping by!

I agree with you. It’s a great color and I can’t wait to hear what it is called. Isn’t it nice to have a brand that you can count on? IMO, Sally Hansen makes good polish. This one looks very nice on you.

Hi judy,I really enjoy your blog posts and your YouTube channel. I was wondering if you know of a shade of nail polish that is a pale sage green? I have several mint greens, and camo green, but I would love a sage/gray green. Keep up the good work! Katherine

I just bought this polish a few days ago, and I LOVE it. It’s on my toenails and looks fantastic with just one coat (so far). My bottle was also labeled Ruby Do. Just like you, I’d love to know the real name.
I had something similar happen last year, when I bought a bottle of a slightly darker purple version of this. The bottle I bought was labelled with a different name (can’t remember at the moment), but it was really Cherry Cherry Bang Bang.
Seems like Sally Hansen has a problem with labeling their polishes correctly. But I love the CSM formula (old and new), so I’ll stick with it regardless.

Hi Judi, new reader here! I found you by way of a google search and was hoping to get to the bottom of the mislabeling of my favorite nail polish. By any chance have you found a dupe for the mislabeled Ruby Do? Thank you for sharing a wide range of brands, it’s been helpful!
