Nail Polish Lottery Club ~ Week 18

Posted on: May 11, 2013

This week’s number for the Nail Polish Lottery Club was 300. I do not have 300 un-tried nail polishes on my list so I used the alternate number of 3. For complete details and guidelines of the #NPLClub please go toFacebook, all the information you need is there. We welcome anyone and everyone to come join the fun!

Sinful Colors Ardoise was my number 3 on my list of un-tried nail polish. I only have 4 Sinful Colors in total and this Ardoise being 1 of the 4. It went on very smooth, maybe a bit goopy, but not too bad. I had to be careful not to get too much polish on the brush, other than that, the formula was fine. I did use 2 coats as the first coat dried a bit spotty. But the 2nd coat took care of that. This color Ardoise is a very nice charcoal gray. No shimmers, no streaks of anything, just a gray cream, which is one of my favorites. I think it looked pretty, initially.

Like I said, this was 2 coats with a quick dry top coat. I painted my nails about 8 am on Friday. I wanted to be able to wear this and give a bit of a review for this posting, but by Friday evening, this happened:

And, this also happened:

In less than 24 hours I had an incredible amount of tip wear, not to mention 2 chips.. Really, I didn’t do anything that day except my usual, 1 load of laundry, a small amount of dishes, took out the garbage, just normal errands. I was so embarrassed at the grocery store when I first noticed the chips, it looked like I’d painted my nails a month ago and then let them go.
I have no choice but to give this Sinful Colors Ardoise 0/5 stars. The only thing redeeming about it, is the price. Sinful Colors sell at Walgreen’s and Rite Aid for $1.99 and you can often times find them on sale.
I do have a Sinful Colors polish called Dream On that is a nice polish.

This is a neon and looks better with a white base coat, which is how I wear it, maybe that makes a difference in keeping the polish looking nice for more than 24 hours?
😡I was very disappointed in this polish because the charcoal gray cream is one of my favorite types of polish. But, this is the beauty of The Nail Polish Lottery Club without the # NPLClub, it would have been a while before I tried this one and now I know what to expect the next time I wear it, maybe I will put a white under coat on with it like I do with Dream On and hopefully I will get better results.

😊The happy part of the #NPLClub is waiting for the new number to be drawn Monday 1pm my time (Pacific Northwest Daylight Time). I can’t wait to see the new number for Week 19!

💅 As always, thanks for stopping by.

Betty’s Blog

I have been a busy dog because my Mom has this new seizure disorder and its up to me to keep her home when she needs to. I also let her know when it's time to take me for my walk, my neighbors like me too.
My mom won't let me leave the yard but the other day I had to wake mom up and take her outside so she could call 911 for the neighbor lady who was having a heart attack. The firemen tried to take me with them but my mom, and I,, both said no.
It's starting to warm up and we have lots of birds and squirrels,. My mom doesn't like me chasing the squirrels, or the birds because we have a nest in one of the trees. She said we have to be quiet. Maybe I can send you a pic of the baby birds? I'll try.
Have a happy spring, my mom and are going to!
Love, Betty
