My Favorite Butter London’s ~ Polish of the Month

Posted on: June 2, 2013

This is a new series I will be doing each Monday. Each month I have been naming a polish of the month, but that’s about as far as I’ve got, with this new series every Monday I will highlight one of my favorites from that brand.

Primrose Hill Picnic was sent to me as a PR sample for review.. It is a straight up cream finish, these pictures are with 3 coats instead of my usual 2, because there was a bit of VNL with only 2 coats. The formula is classic butter LONDON smooth, easy to apply. I like consistency in formulas in a brand, one of the reason I like butter LONDON so well. I think you can see from the picture that I have used about half the bottle of Primrose Hill Picnic, it truly is one of my favorites.

Primrose Hill Picnic looks great on long nails as well as shorter nails. It is an all year round color. Their is no ‘season’ for this polish. And, as I mentioned in a previous post butter LONDON has the Leaping Bunny Logo on the bottle of all their products. Another reason this is a favorite of mine. I give Primrose Hill Picnic 5/5 stars ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ
You can find butter LONDON products at Ulta, Nordstrom and on butter London’s website website. Butter London retails for $15 but often times they are on sale buy 2 get 1 free, which brings the price down to $10 per bottle. Well worth it at any price.
I have been going through my collection looking for something similar to Primrose Hill Picnic the closest I have come to is Lady Luck from Wet n Wild Wild Shine. It is a bit more pink, maybe more on the red side. Also, very close in color from OPI is “You’re a Pisa Work from the Euro Colletion. Considering I have a lot of pink polish I think it’s fair to say Primrose Hill Picnic is a pretty unique color on its own.
Butter London finished 9th in my Nail Polish by Brand comparison study I did last summer. If you remember I tried well, over 60 brands of polish, so I think #9 is a great showing.

Hi Judi: I have 1 BL polish: “Lady Muck”. I wore it a few weeks back for a total of 8 days because there was absolutely no tip wear in all that time (I work full-time on a computer). I used Sally Hansen quick dry in the red bottle as a topcoat. I’m not sure if it was the topcoat or the polish, but I was quite surprised at that. I’m really tempted to buy more BL polishes, even though I don’t need more polish ๐Ÿ™‚ I can see why you give this brand such good reviews.

It’s a great brand. The formula is the same no matter what color you get and I also get great wear time from BL. Let me know your next color you pick up. I am going to google Lady Muck, I’m not familiar with that one! Thanks for the comment Judy

Haute Look for Amazing Deals ~ A Nordstrom Company

HAUTELOOK is a Nordstrom company. They have a return policy that allows you to return items purchased online to be re- turned to their Rack stores. I have never had a bad experience shopping at Nordstrom nor HAUTELOOK. I HGHLY RECOMMEND BOTH STORES. Be sure to go to Hautelook on Monday Dec 1st To see what great deals they will have on butter LONDON polish. Butter LONDON is a mid-priced polish with a high end quality. Betty’s Blog

I have been a busy dog because my Mom has this new seizure disorder and its up to me to keep her home when she needs to. I also let her know when it's time to take me for my walk, my neighbors like me too.
My mom won't let me leave the yard but the other day I had to wake mom up and take her outside so she could call 911 for the neighbor lady who was having a heart attack. The firemen tried to take me with them but my mom, and I,, both said no.
It's starting to warm up and we have lots of birds and squirrels,. My mom doesn't like me chasing the squirrels, or the birds because we have a nest in one of the trees. She said we have to be quiet. Maybe I can send you a pic of the baby birds? I'll try.
Have a happy spring, my mom and are going to!
Love, Betty
