Nail Polish Lottery Club ~ Week 22

Posted on: June 9, 2013

This is my pick from my un-tried list of nail polish for Week 22 of the Nail Polish Lottery Club. For all the details and to join in with us, even if it’s only every now and then, you are always welcome to join in with us; go to facebook

Ciate Vintage 018 – #8 in the Ciate Advent Manicure Kit. This week’s random number was 206. I do not have 206 un-tried nail polishes so I added 2+0+6=8. I sort my sheet a couple of different ways and both #8s this week I did not care for, one was black and the other was one of the new “furry” texture. Then I remembered my beautiful Ciate Manicure Advent Calendar kit and looked behind door #8.

Vintage is best described as an army green. It has a bit of gray-blue to it but mostly it is the dusty green I call army green.

I love, love, love this Ciate Mini Mani Advent calendar . I was very happy with this color choice. It went on smoothly, even though the bottles are mini size, 5 ml, (OPI bottles are 15ml, as a point of reference) the brush was not so teeny tiny and it was very manageable to apply the polish. These are 2 coats with a quick dry top coat. I just applied this morning so I have nothing to report about wear time but in the past I have got 4-5 days before any serious tip wear or chipping occurred with this brand. I will report back if this one is any different.

Vintage reminded me very much of Deborah Lippmann’s Hannah from the Girls collection. But as you can see from the pictures they are similar color family but yet very different. Vintage has more grayish blue to it and Hannah is definitely more green.
I like this polish very much and I cannot think of a reason to take a star away so I give it 5/5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
If you have some nail polish you haven’t tried yet in your collection, think about joining The Nail Polish Lottery Club. Everyone is welcome, there are no rules only guidelines and the only thing you need to get started is a numbered list of your un-tried polishes. Every Monday at 8 GMT (1pm my time, Pacific Northwest) we draw a new random number using random.org. It has been so much fun seeing everyone’s collections and meeting so many nice people. You are always welcome to join us. Even if you only wanted to participate every other week, or once a month, you don’t have to participate every week. We are pretty easy to get along with.

This week end was Jilly and Bryan’s engagement party held at his folk’s home. They live a couple hours from me so it was a full week end. These are my beautiful babies. The girls’ both brought up the dresses they will be wearing for the big day and the only words I have for the both of them is breathtaking. It is going to be a gorgeous wedding, and it will be upon us in no time. Eeeek! So much to do.

I love that you wore the Ciate nail polish this week. And I love that you shared the photo of your kids they all look so happy in the pic πŸ™‚ Hope you had a great time, let me know how it was!

We had such a great week end Diana! There weren’t a whole lot of people, maybe 25-30 but just enough to make it a fun time. Jilly and Ashley both brought and tried on for us girls, their dresses for the wedding. Breathtaking, both of them. Jud had his little boy Jack, he is almost 3, so he was lots of fun. It was just a good day, but I missed Betty. She stayed home with my folks. Hope you have a great week! Xoxo

HAUTELOOK is a Nordstrom company. They have a return policy that allows you to return items purchased online to be re- turned to their Rack stores. I have never had a bad experience shopping at Nordstrom nor HAUTELOOK. I HGHLY RECOMMEND BOTH STORES. Be sure to go to Hautelook on Monday Dec 1st To see what great deals they will have on butter LONDON polish. Butter LONDON is a mid-priced polish with a high end quality. I'll see you there, bright and early! http://www.hautelook.com/short/3Bg7v

Betty’s Blog

I have been a busy dog because my Mom has this new seizure disorder and its up to me to keep her home when she needs to. I also let her know when it's time to take me for my walk, my neighbors like me too.
My mom won't let me leave the yard but the other day I had to wake mom up and take her outside so she could call 911 for the neighbor lady who was having a heart attack. The firemen tried to take me with them but my mom, and I,, both said no.
It's starting to warm up and we have lots of birds and squirrels,. My mom doesn't like me chasing the squirrels, or the birds because we have a nest in one of the trees. She said we have to be quiet. Maybe I can send you a pic of the baby birds? I'll try.
Have a happy spring, my mom and are going to!
Love, Betty
