on:This is my pick from my un-tried list of nail polish for Week 22 of the Nail Polish Lottery Club. For all the details and to join in with us, even if it’s only every now and then, you are always welcome to join in with us; go to facebook
Ciate Vintage 018 – #8 in the Ciate Advent Manicure Kit. This week’s random number was 206. I do not have 206 un-tried nail polishes so I added 2+0+6=8. I sort my sheet a couple of different ways and both #8s this week I did not care for, one was black and the other was one of the new “furry” texture. Then I remembered my beautiful Ciate Manicure Advent Calendar kit and looked behind door #8.
Vintage is best described as an army green. It has a bit of gray-blue to it but mostly it is the dusty green I call army green.
I love, love, love this Ciate Mini Mani Advent calendar . I was very happy with this color choice. It went on smoothly, even though the bottles are mini size, 5 ml, (OPI bottles are 15ml, as a point of reference) the brush was not so teeny tiny and it was very manageable to apply the polish. These are 2 coats with a quick dry top coat. I just applied this morning so I have nothing to report about wear time but in the past I have got 4-5 days before any serious tip wear or chipping occurred with this brand. I will report back if this one is any different.
Vintage reminded me very much of Deborah Lippmann’s Hannah from the Girls collection. But as you can see from the pictures they are similar color family but yet very different. Vintage has more grayish blue to it and Hannah is definitely more green.
I like this polish very much and I cannot think of a reason to take a star away so I give it 5/5 stars πππππ
If you have some nail polish you haven’t tried yet in your collection, think about joining The Nail Polish Lottery Club. Everyone is welcome, there are no rules only guidelines and the only thing you need to get started is a numbered list of your un-tried polishes. Every Monday at 8 GMT (1pm my time, Pacific Northwest) we draw a new random number using random.org. It has been so much fun seeing everyone’s collections and meeting so many nice people. You are always welcome to join us. Even if you only wanted to participate every other week, or once a month, you don’t have to participate every week. We are pretty easy to get along with.
This week end was Jilly and Bryan’s engagement party held at his folk’s home. They live a couple hours from me so it was a full week end. These are my beautiful babies. The girls’ both brought up the dresses they will be wearing for the big day and the only words I have for the both of them is breathtaking. It is going to be a gorgeous wedding, and it will be upon us in no time. Eeeek! So much to do.
