My Favorite butter LONDON’s ~ Polish of the Month
Posted June 10, 2013
on:This is a new series I will be doing each Monday. Each month I have been naming a polish of the month, but that’s about as far as I’ve got, with this new series every Monday I will highlight one of my favorites from that brand.
This polish was sent to me by a PR firm for the company to sample and review.
Scouse by butter LONDON is a royal blue polish that sparkles yet it is not a glitter polish. It has micro glitters of some pink, purple and I do see some lighter blue in there. Butter London describes this on their website as a sheer royal blue but as you can see with 2 coats it is not sheer. In some lights I do see a bit of VNL but not bad enough to make me want to add another coat. It is one of those “interesting polishes, in that it looks different in different lights“. My favorite kind of polish.
Scouse is slang in England for a person from Liverpool. The nail polish Scouse is a year round color. Appropriate for all seasons. I love the way BL does their micro-glitters. I was first introduced to their micro-glitters with All Hail the Queen, which for those you who don’t know is a putty colored cream with putty colored micro-glitter. The effect looked like sparkles on a beautiful sandy beach. Scouse looks more like the edges of a gorgeous, deep lake. (We have a lot of lakes in Idaho). I don’t know how they do it and I have not seen another company even come close to achieving this same effect. It is like a cream finish with sparkles, no texture, no “sea salt” finish, just sparkles. The effect is stunning and makes me want to stare at my nails, especially in the sunlight. Not a good polish for driving, very dis-tracting!
Since I haven’t removed Scouse and probably won’t for a few days yet I don’t know if it will be easy to remove but all the other BL polish with this finish I’ve tried in the past have been easy to remove.
Then, of course, the Leaping Bunny logo. Another reason I love butter LONDON nail polish. butter LONDON is a cruelty free nail polish. Since I’ve been looking for the Leaping Bunny logo I have come across some different kinds of bunny logos. But The Leaping Bunny is the one I trust, you can read why in previous posts on this blog.
Last summer when I did my Nail Polish Comparison by Brand “study”, where I compared over 60 brands of polish, butter LONDON™ finished #9. As for Scouse I give this 5/5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. I could not find a reason to take away a star. If you haven’t tried Scouse yet, you will love it. You can find butter LONDON™ at Ulta, Nordstrom and on their website. They retail for $15 for a .4 oz bottle, but look for sales Ulta and Nordstrom often have a buy 2, get 1 free as well as their website. You can sign up for a newsletter and BL will notify you of their sales.
Some more pics from the party this week end. We had such a good time.
💅 As always, thanks for stopping by.
