Nail Polish Lottery Club ~ Week 27 ~ China Glaze Lubu Heels

Posted on: July 14, 2013

Here we are at Week 27 of the Nail Polish Lottery Club, how time flies!
For more information about The Nail Polish Lottery Club please go to our Facebook page. There you will find a list of “guidelines” to follow. We have no rules, just the guidelines. We are pretty easy to get along with and welcome any and all, even if you just participate once in a while, that’s okay!

Lubu Heels from China Glaze. I bought this polish because Holly at Miss Holly Berries raved about it. It is a pretty black based cream with red glitter holos. The first coat goes on completely ugly, brown and streaky but the 2nd coat brings out the magic of this polish. It is really a pretty polish, especially when the light hits it just right, however I wasn’t crazy about Lubu Heels. I wore it for a day and a half and really disliked it the whole time I had it on. It might just be my mood, which is already dark, so I was craving a brighter polish? I don’t know, but it seemed to me like Lubu Heels never quite dried and I was wanting to pick at it, which is never a good sign for a polish.

Lubu Heels is not my favorite polish, and I was disappointed in it. I had higher expectations for this polish. I won’t give up on it all together, not just yet. I will try it again, in the fall or holiday time. I think the formula is tacky and it never seemed to dry, even with 2 thin coats and a quick dry top coat, one day later I wanted to pick at it and actually scraped it off my nails. Removal was easy! Ha!
I can only give Lubu Heels 3/5 stars 🌟🌟🌟
I really wanted to give it 2 stars but added 1 to make up for my mood. Like I said, I don’t care for this polish, but I will give it another try and if I change my mind, I will let you know.

My beautiful kids the day of Mom’s funeral services. Jilly and Ashley had to go back to work but Drew came up to Dad’s after so I got to introduce him to a lot of old family friends. It was nice having him with me and having the girls at the service was nice. I think my kids are the best ever!

πŸ’… As always, thanks for stopping by!

I am so very sorry about your Mother. It’s wonderful you great memories and love to hold on to. Lulu

Very strange that this polish never dried and peeled off like that.I wonder if it would be any better with a different base or top coat?I just used an Essie polish and my Seche Vite top coat and had shrinkage as if I had used Zoya.Next time I use Essie I will use my Essie top coat.Too bad Ashley and Jilly had to go back to work after the funeral, that must have been tough on everyone. That is a great photo and it’s good you have those three to lean on.Linda xo

I think it didn’t “dry” because it has been so humid here, which is something we never have but for some reason this summer we have been 80-95% humidity, which I just found out about. I’ve also had problems with bubbling, which I’ve never had before so again I think it’s the humidity. Thanks for all your kind words, Linda, you’re a good friend! πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Be sure to go to Hautelook on Monday Dec 1st To see what great deals they will have on butter LONDON polish. Butter LONDON is a mid-priced polish with a high end quality. Betty’s Blog

I have been a busy dog because my Mom has this new seizure disorder and its up to me to keep her home when she needs to. I also let her know when it's time to take me for my walk, my neighbors like me too.
My mom won't let me leave the yard but the other day I had to wake mom up and take her outside so she could call 911 for the neighbor lady who was having a heart attack. The firemen tried to take me with them but my mom, and I,, both said no.
It's starting to warm up and we have lots of birds and squirrels,. My mom doesn't like me chasing the squirrels, or the birds because we have a nest in one of the trees. She said we have to be quiet. Maybe I can send you a pic of the baby birds? I'll try.
Have a happy spring, my mom and are going to!
Love, Betty
