Jermyn Street from Nails, Inc is a pretty, soft chocolate brown color that looks great in the nails. I’m so happy this was number 70 on my list of un-tried nail polish because I have a new favorite for this fall and winter seasons approaching soon. I don’t know that I would have tried this without the efforts of the Nail Polish Lottery Club (NPLClub). That’s part of the fun of the NPLClub, trying nail polish we haven’t yet used from our collection. Also, I might add it has made me cut down drastically on purchasing new polish. I bought this set from QVC from their clearance section. I don’t remember the exact amount I paid but I know it had to be a bargain or I would not have purchased. I like Nails, Inc as a brand. The formula is consistent, which is a biggie for me, I like to know what I’m getting into with a brand of polish, and that is part of the reason I don’t buy Essie polish anymore. The whole “Forest Gump” issue.

Jermyn Street from Nails, Inc was a joy to apply, dried fairly fast, no streaking and a unique color. I checked all my nail polish in my collection in the brown color family and none of them were even remotely close to this milk chocolate-y color of Jermyn Street. The only polish I’ve ever worn for an extended period is the Nails, Inc Fashion’s Night Out released in the fall of 2011. It is a navy blue with white and silver shimmer. This polish wore like iron so I suspect Jermyn Street will also wear well.
πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ For my friends in the UK, how does one pronounce JERMYN? Thanks for your help, I have a feeling I completely mis-pronounced in my video which can be found here.
As I said I’m so happy I bought this set from QVC and I hope you get a chance to try this brand, if you haven’t already. If you have tried Nails, Inc brand, please let me know what you think in the comments below.
πŸ’² (Money Saving Tip:). If you do shop on QVC.com please check out their clearance section, they have some amazing buys on all sorts of items. πŸ’²

No surprise here but I most definetly give this Nails, Inc Jermyn Street 5/5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Recently I received the nicest nail mail from my friend Carla , who lives in Germany and writes a great nail blog. I hope you check her out, she has an amazing collection of CHANEL, both new and vintage that she so generously shares with all of us.

From the selection she sent, I thought the first one I would try would be the Catrice Florlliac but actually the first one was Allure from Catrice’s Thrilling Me Softly collection, which I believe is a new collection.

Allure from Catrice is one of the prettiest red nail polishes I’ve seen and now own. It is most definitely red, and has just a touch of a metallic finish which gives it so much interest. It is not a metallic finish, it is a cream finish. When the light is just right you do see a bit of metallic. Like I said it is an interesting polish . I’ve enjoyed wearing it the last couple of days, and I know this will be one of my favorites this fall and winter. Especially during the holidays. It’s a great party color.

I just noticed from the pictures I have some clean up to do, which can be expected with a bright red. I did not use an extra base coat except for my Nail Envy by OPI which as you all know, I never do my nails without Nail Envy first applied to my bare nails.
One of the things I like about Catrice brand of nail polish is they will mark on the bottles things like “Be sure to use a base coat” –Be Pool, a blue polish or This polish requires 2 coats” Sold Out Forever – a very light green/blue . Upfront you know what you’re getting into. Just another of the many reasons I like this brand so much!
Catrice brand is made in Luxembourg, and not available in the states, except I did find it on Amazon. If you go to Amazon you will find a good selection of 12-15 Catrice nail polish. If you haven’t tried it yet, what are you waiting for? It is a great polish. The round bottles are .33 ounce, and the brush is a little bit wider then say a Revlon brush, but not as wide as Wet N Wild Mega Last or Sally Hansen CSM. The brush is very manageable.
You know I’m giving this one 5/5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. Great color, great brand and great friends is what I think of when I hear the name Catrice and I hope you all get a chance to try it.

Please let me know if you do!

πŸ’… As always, thanks for stopping by!

I’m not one to do a fancy bit of nail art, heck, even glitter is out of my comfort zone. That’s not to say I don’t love some great nail art, I’m just not remotely talented enough to pull it off. I received this press release from Zoya about some new designer kits they have for sale after New York Fashion Week.

Zoya Neely and Yummy. This is my attempt to copy the look in the first picture. I said a few days ago that a nice thing about having a large nail polish collection is when a new one comes out, more than likely I already have similar colors. This was true of the nail art featuring Zoya Edie and Alexa. I don’t have those particular colors but I do have Neely and Yummy. I also have Wednesday, which would have been a better choice for the green portion.

I started by painting my bare nails with Nail Envy from OPI, as always then I added 1 coat of Neely, the light green color. When that was dry I added circle paper reinforcements at the bottom of my nails and then used 1 coat of Yummy, the blue portion.
I know this is not the best example of nail art but I think it shows that if you have a bigger collection of nail polish, you really don’t need the newest collection. If you check, you probably have those colors, or close to it, being released.
I think I’m going to stick to my cream finishes and maybe once in a while do a half and half manicure I like!

One of the great things I treasure about You Tube and the nail blogging community are the wonderful friends I have made all over the world. I recently received some nail mail from 2 great bloggers!

First up my friend Holly sent me some great polishes I do not have in my collection. Holly has a great nail blog and a great You Tube channel along with a great nail polish collection, which she is always adding to. Sounds a bit familiar?
I was reading Holly’s blog and I went to her “Wish List” page and noticed she had been wanting a Model’s Own called Indian Ocean polish from the UK, which has become a bit hard to find. I had this particular polish and knew I would not be using. It is a topper that changes the shade of the polish and makes it holographic. It’s really pretty but just not for me. So I emailed Holly and told her I would be happy to send to her. I’d much rather someone who would appreciate it have it, otherwise it would just sit on my shelf. Long story short I sent her the Model’s Own and maybe a few more? I don’t remember what all I sent her.
Being so sweet as she is she sent me some polishes I had on my wish list.

From left to right in the picture above she sent an H & M polish called Miss Stone Heart, a lovely neutral putty color, a purple polish from Sweden by a brand called Anny, Glamorous Girl, and on the end 2 Calvin Klein polishes. The white one is a great topper to add a little bit of sparkle,to any polish and the blue one can be worn alone or as a topper.
I’ve been having fun playing with these. I have left the 2 Calvin Klein out and it has been fun trying them on over the top of different colors.
Thank You so much Holly! I live in such a small town I would never be able to find the CK polishes or the others, for that matter. Please check out Holy’s blog and subscribe to her You Tube channel. I know you will like her as much as I do!

πŸ’Ÿ πŸ’Ÿ πŸ’Ÿ. πŸ’Ÿ πŸ’Ÿ πŸ’Ÿ. πŸ’ŸπŸ’ŸπŸ’Ÿ. πŸ’ŸπŸ’ŸπŸ’Ÿ. πŸ’ŸπŸ’ŸπŸ’Ÿ. πŸ’ŸπŸ’ŸπŸ’Ÿ. πŸ’ŸπŸ’ŸπŸ’Ÿ

Next up are some polishes I just received today from my friend Carla who lives in Germany and writes a great nail blog featuring mostly CHANEL, Dior, and all other brands of polish. She has an extensive CHANEL collection and is a great place to look up swatches of CHANEL, even old CHANEL polishes.

As I said I’ve just received these today and haven’t had time for proper swatches but I wanted to show you.
From left to right, Catrice (a German nail polish brand) in Dirty Berry, Florallilac LE Eve in Bloom, Allure another LE Thrilling Me Softly and Occult from the same collection. On the far right are 2 Manhattan polishes in Cafe Beaute and Purple Poetry. Gorgeous … Every one of them. I can’t wait to wear and I think the first one I will try will be the Floralilac from the Eve in Bloom LE collection.
You can find Catrice nail polishes on Amazon from $5. This link showed a pretty good selection of colors. I highly recommend Catrice brand, it is truly one of my favorite brands.
I was first introduced to Catrice by my friend Nicky, who lives in Ireland. She also has a great You Tube channel. Her channel is all about the nails and I hope you check her out and subscribe to her channel as well.

a huge Thank You to Carla! When you said you’d found a couple more Catrice you were sending me I didn’t expect this. Thank you, I appreciate it so much!

Sephora + Pantone Universe Jewel Nail Lacquer in Purple Parachute. I have had this polish for quite a while now and have never worn it before. I don’t know why, because honestly I really like this polish. It went on great, great square (stable) bottle, the brush was good and it dried fast. I love a good purple on my nails and I also love me some great duo-chrome action. Alas, the duo-chrome shows up great in the bottle, not so much on the nail. πŸ‘Ώ
But to be fair it is a cloudy day today so maybe if the sun was out, it would be different. I’ll keep you posted.

This picture shows the green duo-chrome in the bottle. I tried all angles to get a glimmer to show on my nails with no luck. All that aside I still like this polish. It is a very good quality polish and I like the purple color. I would still give this Purple Parachute 4/5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟 and I would have given it a 5/5 rating had the duo-chrome transferred to the nail.

I told you I like a purple nail polish! These are the ones I thought would be close to Purple Parachute but as you can see from the swatches there isn’t one that is a dupe for the Sephora + Pantone Universe Purple Parachute. The closet one would be the Orly Royal Velvet which is also a favorite of mine. But it is close, not a dupe. I would say if you have Royal Velvet you would not need the Purple Parachute. If I remember right I believe the S+PU was fairly expensive, around $20 for a .37 ounce bottle.
😎 I think the prettiest purple on the swatch wheel is the Sally Hansen Extreme Wear in Deep Purple. It is gorgeous! It is showing more blue in the photo but is a true purple. The 2 on the right end of the picture seem to be identical, so again if you have Wet n Wild Eggplant Frost usually 99 cents, you would not need to buy the Maybelline Color Show in Plum Paradise, usually $2.99 .

βœ… This was sent to me by their PR firm for review, along with other holiday polishes. As always, my opinions are my own and the representatives of Venique have never asked me to post a review, to supply a copy of my review, or influenced my reviews in any way. I appreciate that because not all brands provided for review are so open and giving.βœ…

Mistletoe Bliss from Venique’s Christmas 2012 LE . Okay,I know what what you are thinking, Mistletoe Bliss??? wth kind of name is that for a nail polish that was released as part of a Christmas LE series and is basically purple? I don’t get it, I’m sure there is some kind esoteric meaning behind it but to be honest with you, the whole idea of naming nail polish after shoes, and naming a purple polish with a Christmas theme, Mistletoe Bliss, doesn’t necessarily make it a holiday polish. I guess what I’m trying to say, I’ve said it before, the shoe naming aspect of Venique is rather silly. Since I don’t see a shoe reference in the name I believe this is a limited edition release, I know it is still available, and I haven’t reviewed this one before so today is the day for Mistletoe Bliss.
So, I’ve got that off my chest. Lets talk about Mistletoe Bliss. . That being said, you all know I really love Venique as a brand.
Venique finished #3 on my top 10 list of nail polishes by brand after comparing over 40 brands with the same 5 items of criteria, so it is definetly a favorite brand of mine. I know it is not readily available but it is so worth it to seek it out.

Mistletoe Bliss looks in the bottle to be a micro-glitter but it is not. It is a cream matte finish with just a touch of sparkle, and a touch of texture. I added a quick dry top coat and with that, in a certain light there is a bit of sparkle. Like all other Venique nail polish this one dried like glass and is pure joy to apply to the nails. The brush is perfect, picks up just the right amount of polish, dries fairly quick and according to other reviews I’ve read and watched on You Tube it has been shown to stand up to its claim of a 10 day manicure. (A great review on Venique can be seen on Tammy’s you tube channel, it is worth watching as she put it to a 10 day test, doing full on house work, gardening and general spring cleaning. Her video is very entertaining and I highly recommend you watch it. She filmed it about a year ago so you will have to search her channel but again, so worth watching. I can not attest to the 10 day wear as I can’t remember the last time I wore a polish for more than 10 days. You know me….πŸ’…
Here is why Venique can claim a 10-14 day manicure: Venique is formulated with a new ingredient called Sil-Tek which allows the polish to bond to the nail and to contract with the nail, keeping the polish looking nice. For an extended wear time; use their top coat which actually contains the Sil-Tek ingredient. I’m not going to bore you with more details as I have written about their process prior to this review, if interested just search Venique from my search bar.

Where to purchase Venique ? Venique is distributed through nail salons and can be purchased, with a cosmetology license through CosmoProf. The retail price is $7 for a .5 oz bottle. If you live in a small town like myself, the prospect of finding at a salon is slim, however you can find Venique on Amazon.com and on eBay .
I often times feel like I am the only person who talks about this great polish and I sincerely wish all of you could try it. I think if you try it once you will be hooked. Everyone knows my favorite finish is a cream finish and the Venique finish is like glass, even on none cream finishes you still get a glass like effect, I think it is a stunning polish, no matter what color or finish you pick out. No other way to describe it.
So I think we all know I love the Venique polishes I own. I am down to 5 bottles because I have given away all the most I’ve received for review, I like Mistletoe Bliss so I did keep this one. It is a straight up purple, kind of a grape purple with a bit of a brown- ish undertone. Very slight. Dries matte and has the slightest bit of sparkle when the light hits it just right.
βœ… As a side note, if you want to try Venique and are having trouble locating, let me know what color you want and I can pick some up for you. The cost would be $10, $7 for polish, $3 for shipping.

Betty and I are both re-covering from a bout of food poisoning and are feeling so much better. I am really hungry this morning and Betty ate her breakfast in one stop. ( She usally takes all day to eat because she doesnt want to miss out on any bites of my breakfast. Thanks to every one who sent well wishes, means so much to me, you’ll never know how grateful I am for our little community of nail polish junkies collectors!

Have you tried Venique yet? If so please let me know what you think in the comments below. I’d sincerely love to hear your thoughts.

πŸ’… As always, thanks so much for stopping by!

Arose Beyond Shimmer from Sephora by OPI is a discontinued brand but I believe they are still on great offers if you check out Sephora.com and QVC. Arose Beyond Shimmer is a semi-sheer glitter packed with sparkle. The micro glitter is mostly pink, purple, and white but there are many more colors besides those 3. It is sheer with one coat but completely opaque with 2. You guys all know I’m not much for glitter but I do like some sparkle and I like the micro glitter aspect much better.

Arose Beyond Shimmer from SOPI over Sally Hansen CSM Ruby Do. I have had on Ruby Do the last couple of days and I didn’t check what my polish would be until this morning. When I saw it was this one I thought great! I’ll just add over the top of the Ruby Do. Not something I usually do but I think it works.
I didn’t check until this morning because a couple a days ago I think I got food poisoning from a frozen toaster strudel. I bought the package from my neighborhood store and I know they have had problems with their freezer and I usually never buy anything frozen from them. I don’t know why I picked those up from that particular store. Oh well, live and learn! I cannot remember being so sick, ever!. Unfortunately Betty also got sick because I always give her a part of whatever I eat. She was the first one to get sick and about a half hour later it hit me. I’ve never had this before and for those of you who have experienced it, you will know what I mean. Ugh!
Thankfully I am feeling better and I hope none of you ever get this ‘bug’?
Week 37 of the Nail Polish Lottery gave us number 123. And yes I still have more than 123 un-tried nail polishes on my list, so this was actually 123 on that list. I think now I am at around 140-ish for un-trieds. One good thing about have so many nail polishes in my collection is now when I see a new nail polish I can pretty much find a very similar color I already own, so yay for that!
