NOTD: OPI Dim Sum Plum

Posted on: September 3, 2013

Dim Sum Plum by OPI has been placed in their to be dis-continued list released earlier this summer and since this is my daughter’s signature color I did buy a bottle while still available. Jilly has actually gone through 2 full bottles of this polish. I think she is branching out as she has some of my other polishes, like Spring Green from Barry M, I Will from L’Oreal and a cream colored one from Estée Lauder. And I know she has bought some Essie despite my dis-like of that particular brand, the whole Forest Gump thing about the formula. I’m glad she has tried other brands and colors but I did want to have this bottle of Dim Sum Plum for her as it will soon be unavailable.

Dim Sum Plum is a cream formula that was easy to use, dried fast and coverage was great. The polish was a bit thick but not too thick. I like this color, it’s a deep pink with a strong purple undertone. I now know why Jilly loved this polish so much because it is a beautiful color and it happens to look great with my skin and I know it always looked great on her. I am saving this bottle for Jilly and probably won’t use again so she can have it for later.
OPI is one of the nail polish companies I do like because for the most part their formula is consistent, the nail polish brush is perfect and picks up just the right amount of polish. I like both aspects of these qualities for a nail polish brand. I think Dim Sum Plum deserves a 5/5 stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.

This photo is from one of my favorite Twitter accounts, @scienceporn. They show the coolest things like this photo today was posted of Saturn. I thought some of yo may like to see it. If you are on Twitter they are a great account to follow.

💅 As always, thanks for stopping by!

I see this colour being recommended a lot and now I understand why. Too bad for your daughter, but then again, OPI usually releases shades too close to some former ones so she will hopefully find something very close to that.
I, too, prefer OPI for the reasons you mentioned.

One that is very close to it is the one Betsy Johnson did for SOPI, I can’t remember the name but it was scented, Jilly has that one, and she has a fairly new bottle I got for her when OPI was on sale at CosmoProf so she will be fine and maybe she will find another polish she likes just as much. My girls are so cute, when they want new nail polish they “shop” for it at my house. Which of course I love!:)

Betty’s Blog

I have been a busy dog because my Mom has this new seizure disorder and its up to me to keep her home when she needs to. I also let her know when it's time to take me for my walk, my neighbors like me too.
My mom won't let me leave the yard but the other day I had to wake mom up and take her outside so she could call 911 for the neighbor lady who was having a heart attack. The firemen tried to take me with them but my mom, and I,, both said no.
It's starting to warm up and we have lots of birds and squirrels,. My mom doesn't like me chasing the squirrels, or the birds because we have a nest in one of the trees. She said we have to be quiet. Maybe I can send you a pic of the baby birds? I'll try.
Have a happy spring, my mom and are going to!
Love, Betty
