Naughty by Revlon is one of the first Revlon polishes I bought in my quest to find dupes of CHANEL polishes. Naughty is a re-promote by Revlon as it used to called Perplexed. I’m not sure why they re-promote or Re-name polishes but Revlon especially seems to be the most general nail polish brand to do so. So, if you own Perplexed by Revlon, please don’t buy Naughty, they are the same thing.
Revlon Naughty is a dead on dupe for Chanel’s Paradoxal. It’s a beautiful purple with a lighter purple or a lavender shimmer running through the polish. This shimmer does transfer beautifully to the nail. In my opinion that is why Naughty has been one of the best CHANEL dupes I’ve seen. Revlon did a good job of duping Paradoxal whether that’s what they started out to do or not.

Naughty by Revlon is a great year round polish and I believe should be in every woman’s collection of nail polish, unless of course you are lucky enough to own a CHANEL Paradoxal.
You can buy Naughty wherever Revlon is sold, which is most drug stores and its even sold at my Albertson’s grocery store. Around here it retails s or $4.99 but I know the price is different in different areas.

Strawberry Margarita from OPI is that perfect “Barbie” pink and I think it’s the perfect polish to end October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It will be a few months before the total raised for this years campaign is announced but its usually in the millions. It makes me happy to be a small part of that. I believe research is the key, and the more money that can be thrown that way, the better!

20131030-085457.jpg
I don’t know why I don’t wear Strawberry Margarita more, but it is one of my least worn pinks and yet I really do love it. The formula and brush were perfect, opaque after 2 coats, easy to apply, typical OPI. After almost 2 full days, no sign of wear so in my book that makes it a great polish. Ill have to remember to reach for it more.

Day 2 of wearing Marc Jacobs Enamored in Evelyn and not a chip in site, not even any sign of tip wear.

href=”https://middleagedbeautyqueen.files.wordpress.com/2013/10/20131029-140425.jpg”>20131029-140425.jpg
The Marc Jacobs Evelyn is a very good quality polish and the formula is exactly the formula I would use,if I could make a nail polish line. I removed Evelyn from my pointer finger and painted 2 coats of OPI Nein, Nein, Nein, Ok Fine! and they are very close. I would not call them dead on dupes but they are close. If you like the color of Evelyn but not the $18 price tag then go with OPI’s Nein, Nein, Nein, OK Fine! for around $9.

I was so happy with this weeks number because I don’t have 149 un-tried nail polishes any more so I got to use an alternate number which gave me my new Marc Jacobs Enamored Nail Polish which of of course I’ve been dying to try and to show you.

20131027-162623.jpg
Evelyn from March Jacobs is described as a smoky gray by Sephora and that is a good description of the polish in the bottle. But once on the nail it seems to be a bit of a greenish gray. Don’t get me wrong it is a beautiful polish, beautifully presented and a joy to apply. I will update you on the wear as it is supposed to wear 10-14 days, so we’ll see. We all know I won’t wear it for that long but I will wear it for a few days and that will give a good test of the wearability of this gorgeous polish.

20131027-163045.jpg
The formula for Evelyn was perfect, not too thick and not too thin. The only complaint I have is with the brush, and you all know how picky I am about brushes. This is a small, short brush, obviously because of the bottle design. I don’t mind a small shot handled brush but this one got more frayed with each dip into the bottle. I did not like that at all.

20131027-163353.jpg
Seriously, the brush needed a hair cut before I was finished painting my nails. But other than the brush problem this is a high quality polish that shows in the first stoke of application. It was a joy to apply. I used 2 coats and a quick dry top coat in these pictures. It did seem to take a while longer to dry than I normally like but it really is a beautiful polish and I think it will become one of my favorite brands. I bought Evelyn at Sephora for $18. The bottle design is different as one would expect from Marc Jacobs, and hold .43floz. Not a high price point for such a high quality polish.

You can find Essie at most drug stores. Essie sells for $8 a bottle. My Walgreen’s and Rite Aid always seem to have a full selection. You can also see more colors and get some tutorial ideas from their website at Essie.

Are there any colors from this new collection you are dying to get your hands on? Let me know if you pick up any of these new shades.

Butter London Primrose Hill Picnic and Fruit Machine are some of my favorite pink nail polishes. Both of these bottles were provided to me for review, but as always, all opinions are my own. I was not asked to provide a post or a video about this nail polish brand and I was not asked to provide them with a copy of my review pre-publication.
Primrose Hill Picnic and Fruit Machine are the perfect pinks, even though clearly they are different shades of pink, they are both perfect, for their shade. Fruit Machine was released this spring as part of butter LONDON’s Sweetie Shoppe collection. If you remember that was a 5 piece collection of pastel colors, all of them great. Fruit Machine is a lot like BL’s Teddy Girl but it is just a bit more pink and the formula for FM is better, in my opinion. With FM I can achieve full opacity with 2 coats whereas TG took more.

20131025-115446.jpg
Primrose Hill Picnic is one of those pinks that can be worn any where, any time. I would even wear PRHP for a job interview. Of course I wouldn’t do an accent nail, but I would not feel self conscious at an interview, with either of these colors.
The formula for both is classic butter LONDON, very smooth easy to apply, the brush is smaller and easier to work with. With BL nail polish you know what you’re getting and that is a good quality polish that lasts. I’m just starting day 2 and I’m not showing any signs of wear, even on the tips.
Butter LONDON nail polish is cruelty free and has the Leaping Bunny logo on the back of their bottles. You can purchase BL at most cosmetic stores like Ulta. I usually buy mine through Nordstrom or butter LONDON’s own site here. Purchase price is $15 per bottle but look for sales as often times they are on sale. If you follow me on Twitter @JudiT4029 I will always tweet when I hear of a sale for nail polish.
Butter LONDON has also branched out and now carry a full line of color cosmetics like cream blush, mascara and eye liner pencil that are awesome! The colors are bright and beautiful. If you haven’t tried their cosmetics line, you won’t be disappointed if you pick some up.

This week’s favorite Revlon polish is the gorgeous, timeless color Fashionista. It’s. not by chance I picked this color this week as this also happens to be one of Diana’s favorite Revlon nail polishes and today also happens to be her birthday. So Happy Birthday Diana!
I hope you have a great day and a week of celebrating your birth. You truly are one of the nicest people I have had to the pleasure to call my friend.

20131023-131612.jpg
Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe Fashionista was one of the first Revlon nail polishes I sent to you. I know they are expensive over there and here they are very reasonably priced. I’ve sent Diana quite a few Revlon polishes but Fashionista is the one she says in her favorite. It is a pretty medium colored blue green with the emphasis on the green. It is a very wearable color, all year round but especially pretty in the fall and winter months. The formula is on the thick side and you could easily get by with just one coat but I did 2 coats in these pictures with a quick dry top coat. I’ve had this polish on for a few days now and no sign of wear, not even any tip wear. I know wear time is important to Diana, which could be one of the reasons she likes it so much. I still am having hard time shopping for nail polish and seeing new green one that I know Diana would love, but with the Royal Mail situation I do not want to take the chance for her to get into trouble by me mailing her some new Revlon polishes. So I pass them by, but Diana I just want you. To know I’m always seeing polishes I wish I could send you but I also know you have a problem with storage so that is another reason ill be a good girl and not add to any problems.

20131023-132938.jpg
I received this beautiful post card in the mail yesterday from when Diana recently. took a holiday to Spain. I love, love, love getting post cards from my friends travels. I have quite a collection and I’m always happy to add to this fun collection. Thanks for sending to me, that was very sweet of you.

Happy Birthday, Diana !!!! You’re simply the best!
