This Weeks Revlon ~ Plum Seduction

Posted on: February 1, 2014

Because I have so many Revlon nail polish I decided to share with you a different Revlon nail polish each week. These are not necessarily new colors but hopefully some one will find the swatches useful. 💅

Revlon Plum Seduction is a pretty pink with a touch of purple. I think it is more like an orchid color. I have used over half the bottle as it is one of my favorites for an every day polish. My first try at this manicure I used 2 coats of Plum Seduction with no top coat. Less than 24 hours later I had tip wear something awful. The weird part is I hadn’t really done anything to warrant the tip wear. So, the next day I added a 3rd coat of polish and used Seche-Vite as a top coat. All the pictures are with the 3 coats.

Even though Plum Seduction is a deep, rich color the VisibleNailLine shows at certain angles. I don’t know about you but VNL makes my ass twitch. (Sorry for taking a line from one of my favorite movies). With 2 coats VNL was clearly apparent on all nails and I thought the 3rd coat would take care of it and for the most part it does. It’s certainly livable and I’m positive I’m the only one noticing.👀

One of the great things about Revlon nail polish for me, is it so accessible even in my little town. My grocery store has a wonderful display of Revlon nail polish and their rack usually has the newest colors stocked before any other store. While shopping this evening I added an accent to my ring finger and pointer. It’s a pink glitter with gold called Sparkle. It really does sparkle! It is very similar to Deborah Lippmann’s Sweet Dreams. .
After wearing for almost 2 days with the 3rd coat and using a top coat I am happy with the wear. There is no sign of tip wear this time, and I have been doing housework. Dishes, laundry and cleaning the bathroom. This must be one of those lacquers that needs a top coat. The formula, brush and bottle are all typical Revlon and I had no complaints there.
If there is a Revlon color you have been curious about and would like to see a swatch, just let me know in the comments and I will be happy to swatch for you. ( Of course, if I have the color)

💅 As always, thanks for stopping by!

HAUTELOOK is a Nordstrom company. They have a return policy that allows you to return items purchased online to be re- turned to their Rack stores. I have never had a bad experience shopping at Nordstrom nor HAUTELOOK. I HGHLY RECOMMEND BOTH STORES. Be sure to go to Hautelook on Monday Dec 1st To see what great deals they will have on butter LONDON polish. Butter LONDON is a mid-priced polish with a high end quality. Betty’s Blog

I have been a busy dog because my Mom has this new seizure disorder and its up to me to keep her home when she needs to. I also let her know when it's time to take me for my walk, my neighbors like me too.
My mom won't let me leave the yard but the other day I had to wake mom up and take her outside so she could call 911 for the neighbor lady who was having a heart attack. The firemen tried to take me with them but my mom, and I,, both said no.
It's starting to warm up and we have lots of birds and squirrels,. My mom doesn't like me chasing the squirrels, or the birds because we have a nest in one of the trees. She said we have to be quiet. Maybe I can send you a pic of the baby birds? I'll try.
Have a happy spring, my mom and are going to!
Love, Betty
