Archive for the ‘nail Polish on SALE’ Category

Coming from a retail family (by marriage) I know all too well that the months of January and February are some of the slowest and the poorest months for most of us.
Businesses have all their annual taxes due such as business licensing, workmen’s compensation, un-employment taxes, insurance, interest payments are due, vendors are due their money, the list seems to never end. I feel for the business man during these long winter months. Their customers have spent their disposable income on the holidays, the days are short so their customers are going home early and entertaining with their families. The one thing they aren’t doing, across the board, is spending money.

But, as a nail polish junkie this should not keep us from what we do best, which is our nails! Right? Here are a few bargains I’ve found: I found these L’Oreal polishes in a package of 5 for $6.99 or $1.25 each, at a Ross Store. Not a bad buy.

The other “go to brand” with limited funds is the Wet n Wild collections. The Mega Last collection retails for $2.99 but is often times on sale, BOGO: and can be found at most drug stores.

Of course, we cannot leave out the Wet n Wild Wild Shines. These are the gem of any collection whether you are a teen ager just starting your collection or if you are like me and like to “collect” their limited edition pieces, including their eyeshadow sets. I found these half price at K Mart.

One my all time favorite polish for longer nails (because polish does look different on short v. long nails) is this gorgeous Lavender Creme from Wet n Wild Wild Shines

The Wild Shines retail for 99 cents when first out on the shelves but within a few days they are marked down to half price. Another great color from the Wild Shines is Dream Poppy. Dream Poppy looks good on all nails and is more coral than the Lavender Creme.

So, even in the dull drum days of winter when money seems in short supply, and you’re wishing for a new polish, check out the Wet n Wild supply at any drug store. They even have a full line of wet n Wild in my grocery store.

Yes, butter LONDON will be featured on HAUTELOOK ( http://www.hautelook.com/short/3Bg7v ) this Monday, tomorrow, beginning at 8am PST. If you are not familiar with HAUTELOOK (http://www.haute-look.com/short/3Bg7v ) it is a NORDSTROM company which in itself tells you they have the best quality items, service like no other with great sales. Please check them out, not just for beauty items, although they have plenty of beauty brands to chose from but HAUTELOOK ( http://www.hautelook.com/short/3Bg7v ) has something for the entire family.
But, let’s back to what we care about: nail polish! And especially butter LONDON.

Queen Vic from butter LONDON is a def must have. It is a blue based maroon with just a hint of orchid. I have a hard time with maroon polish as mostly they turn to a rusty color but Queen Vic most def does not.

The formula for Queen Vic from butter LONDON is perfect. Like most quality polish complete coverage is achieved with 1 coat but a second coat makes it all the better. Whether you chose one or two coats, butter LONDON polish dries like glass. I wouldn’t say this formula wears like iron, but it has a longer wear time, as far as tip wear that is, than most. As you all know I don’t wear my polish long enough to determine chip wear These pictures are with 2 coats and I used the butter LONDON PD Quick Dry top coat.

Queen Vic with Lovely Jubbly is a perfect pairing. I love wearing these 2 together.

I am featuring Queen Vic today because that is what I happen to be wearing, but don’t get me wrong, butter LONDON has so many classic colors and unique colors all their own. Please scroll past the end of the post for some of my favorites. I even have a list of which ones I’d love to have (the only other brand I have a wish list for is CHANEL, surprise, surprise!)
This is my butter LONDON list (Jilly and Drew hint, hint, hint….)
Bobby dazzler – love, love love
British racing green
Jaded jack
Giddy kipper
Cotton buds
Cor climes
Cheeky chops

I, for one am hoping one or more of these will be on HAUTELOOK site. I hope you get a chance to check out HAUTELOOK ( http://www.hautelook.com/short/3Bg7v ) tomorrow, and check early as things tend to sell out fast. Please let me know if you got any of their great bargains.

SOPI Caught With My Khakis Down, Under My Trench Coat, and Is She for Real? are on sale at Sephora.com 3 bottles for $10. Currently they are showing them as $4.50 a bottle but if you buy 3 then the savings kicks in with no code needed. Also, QVC in their Clearance section has all the SOPI on sale 4 for $15 with free shipping. QVC still has a good selection of colors, some sets of 4, and some mini sets. Pick your bargain and go for it.

I have all 3 on and I really like the 3 I bought. Even the sparkle-y one is so pretty, and you all know I love a cream finish. I have never tried this brand before and I am so glad I have picked up these few because the Sephora by OPI is a really nice polish. Especially at such a great price! Let me know if you pick up on any of these! I hope you do, I think you will like them.
As a side note, I think I have a new all time favorite ๐Ÿ™† with Under My Trench Coat. It looks a lot like Chinchilly from Essie but maybe a tad more brown. I will do a comparison of those 2 and if anyone is interested in seeing that I will post it here.

Every year for “Earth Day ” Zoya offers a half off sale for up to 24 bottles. You must order at least 6 bottles, but no more than 24. Regular shipping and handling apply.
The premise is that however many new bottles of polish you order, you then return to Zoya, the same number of older, used bottles and they will dispose of in a proper earth friendly way. In the fine print it does say they will not hold you to this end of the deal and you may or may not send in any old bottles. They say they won’t hold it against you if you don’t send in any old bottles. They even encourage you donate them, if you can. The sale is NOT contingent upon you returning the other bottles. If you do return bottles, they cannt be Zoya brands.
In the fine print it does say the Pixie Dust Collection is excluded from this promo.

You know I cannot pass up a good deal, and this is a good deal, I do like Zoya polish and I especially like it at $4 a bottle. I ordered:
Micky – My dad is Mickey ~ this is a gorgeous coral cream I am including a Share the Love link for this one. if you have not yet set up an account with Zoya, use this link to get points added to your account.. Of course you can sign up without using the link, but then you won’t get points added to your account.
Diana – We all know and love Diana
Jana – Looks a lot like C in C
Charla – a blue metallic, I had one before and gave to someone
Bobbi – a gorgeous metallic pink-ish red
Carly – a purple micro glitter

I can’t wait to get my order! What did you order? Their new summer colors are so pretty Micky is my favorite, but I also like Rocky and Liberty and Hazel. I may have to place another order before the 26th. Use code ZOYAEARTH2013 for your discount!

๐Ÿ’… As always, thanks for stopping by.

Starting January 7th, Zoya is offering 3 bottles of polish FREE. Use promo code ZOYA2013Just pay a $10 shipping and handling fee.
But, if you add to your order an item that Zoya offers FREE SHIPPING then your entire order will have FREE SHIPPING/strong>
Right now they are offering their Dream Box with free shipping. It is a nice velvet like lined box with 3 bottles of polish inside. You can order an empty box and chooses your own colors.
If you use their Share the Love link, you will have points added to your account. I believe it’s enough points for a free bottle of polish, or you can use it for shipping, remover, and other things. If you have not set up an account click on this Share the Love for those points.

I know I’ll be taking advantage of this offer. My Wish List with Zoya is getting longer and longer!

Let me know if you get anything from this sale.

๐Ÿ’… As always, thanks for stopping by.
