This is one of those nail polishes I’ve wanted since its release for Fashion’s Night Out, around 2012?  This was released as a set of 3, Coco Blue, Rebel Blue and Blue Boy.  CHANEL shows these on their website on a manicure using all 3 colors.  I did ask permission to use their photo but of course they said no way.  The use of all 3 colors is more attractive than just this color by itself,  as you can see it’s not a very pretty color.

This was a difficult color to apply, lots of streaks.  I notice tip wear within the first day.  It was a day of shopping and having lunch with a friend, so no reason for any wear to show.  I was disappointed in this polish but I am happy to have it in my collection.

FINAL THOUGHTS:  Not a pretty color, at least in my opinion, a difficult formula to work with, really crappy wear time and removal was tedious.  But yet I am happy to have, maybe because it is one of those hard to find and had a truly limited release.

πŸ’…I did this 3 color blue manicure a long time ago and this is how I prefer wearing blue polish these days.  I have a lot of blue in my collection and I have fun mixing the colors.

As I was adding another blanket on my bed last night I realized My Summer of Blues 2014 is over. As we look back one more time I always like to think of the things to come. I would rather look ahead then back but sometimes looking at blue nail polish somehow makes me happy!

I hope you have all had a great summer. Summer is never long enough for me but I do like the fall and the crisp morning air. Betty and I have great walks in the mornings.

For some reason I decided this summer my ‘signature’ color would be blue. This started me on a blue journey that, although I had on blue nail polish, my summer was anything but blue.

This was the beginning of my summer blues. I have always thought the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure formula to be one of the best drug store brands. I’ve long wondered why they called Gray by Gray this name when it is clearly a blue polish, as evident in these pictures. Anyone agree with me, or is it just me? Seeing blue instead of gray?

The next round of summer blue came with these L’Oreal polishes, again a great drug store brand. Notting Hill Blue has long been a favorite, so much so that I don’t wear it very often as I want to savor what I have left of it.

Just to shake things up a bit, I did wear a bright pink from Rimmell called Posh Pink. It was fun for a change.

Back to the Summer of Blue ~ 2014 with this gorgeous Sally Hansen CSM in Please Sea Me. This was sent to me as a PR sample for review. I was not asked to comment on this one but it is so, so pretty I couldn’t help myself. It is a gorgeous polish and has been formulated with their new gel like formula which increased wear time considerably.

This is another polish sent to me for review from Pacifica.. Pacifica is a 7-free, vegan 100% cruelty free company. If you have not tried them as yet please check them out. This polish went on smooth and wore like iron.

That was pretty much it for my Summer of Blues ~ 2014. It was actually a lot of fun for me and gave me a chance to wear my blue polish which I seem to have an abundance of! Maybe because my eyes are so blue?

What do you think?

**Some items featured in this post were sent to me by PR firms for my review. I was not asked or paid to comment on any of these. All opinions are my own.***

This is the set of American Apparel nail polish I bought from eBay for $15.99 shipping included. I received 17 bottles of American Apparel nail polish. I am so glad I bought these, they are a great polish and especially at this price. Shipment was fast. Last I heard they were still available, so if interested search eBay for AA nail polish sets. You won’t be sorry, especially at less than $1 per bottle.

Mount Royal from American Apparel was #5 on my list of un-tried nail polish in my collection. The number generated by random.org for the Week 36 of the #NPLClub was 302 and since I don’t have 302 un-trieds I used an alternate number of 5. I’m so glad I tried this polish because it may be a new favorite, maybe so much so that it will end up in the Top 5? We will have to wait and see. This polish goes on like a dream, I could have easily stopped after 1 coat but I always use 2 coats for a polish I write about for this blog. I also used a quick dry top coat. I think it is a beautiful blue and I think it looks great on my nails. Even if I say so myself!. 😎

Mount Royal gets 5/5 stars from me. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The formula, dry time, brush and color saturation are perfect. No VNL even with 1 coat. It has a classic cream finish which is my favorite and I really like it. I like all the AA nail polishes I’ve tried so far. The only one I won’t wear would be the bright yellow, just because anything yellow or orange seems to clash with my skin. If any of you would like to try the yellow just let me know in the comments below and I will be happy to send to you. 😎

For more information about the Nail Polish Lottery Club please go to our Facebook page here for all the details and you can find the guidelines here. We have no rules, anyone can join in the fun. Even if you only post once in a while, that’s okay. You are under no obligation to post every week. Even if you love nail polish and want to see some great photos of all different colors the Facebook page is fun to go to and just look at every one’s entries. It’s fun because we all use the same umber, or a variation of, yet we all have a different polish to highlight. If you have any questions you can contact me or my friend Diana and we will be happy to answer your questions.
The new number will be drawn every Monday at 1PM PST so stay tuned, I can’t wait to see what is in store for next week!
