(The butter LONDON Rescue 999 system was sent to me for review.)

butter LONDON Rescue 999 System. This is a 2 piece set with a base coat and a top coat. It is designed to brighten your nails and to rescue them after damage from using a gel system. I think with the popularity of the gel system, this will be a perfect set for anyone wanting to get back to their own nails.
I havent used the gels on my nails but I am sending this to a friend who will take photos along the way so that I can share with you the results. As with all butter LONDON products! I’m sure this too will be a winner.

Catrice Nail Polishes from my friend Carla who lives in Germany. Catrice Nail Polish is available here from Ninja website and sell for $10 a bottle.
Thank you Carla for these! I love adding to my Catrice collection.

Candy Shock from the I Scream, You Scream LE Collection from Catrice is a perfect Spring pastel color. This is a light, light lavender with a small pearl shimmer. As with most Catrice nail polishes with a shimmer, it does transfer to the nail, beautifully.

The formula for this polish was easy to work with, even though the first coat was a bit streaky it was completely opaque and smooth with the second coat.
This one definitely needed a second coat, as advised on the bottle. One of the things I like about this brand. You know going in if it’s a one coater or two.

FINAL THOUGHTS ON CATRICE AS POLISH OF THE MONTH: Catrice is a German brand of polish that can be tricky to find. I did not check eBay but I’m sure you will find some there. Catrice is available at the Ninja website for $10 per bottle.
Catrice is a great brand, another one of those brands that I wished was more readily available in this country. I hope you get a chance to try it, and if so, please let me know what you think!

Floralilac from Catrice’s “Eve in Bloom” Collection may be one of my new favorites of all time. I love this berry color. It’s not too dark and not too light. This is a perfect color for year round. I would not wear this to a job interview but all other occasions this would be fine. I think it’s a gorgeous color. Thanks to my friend Carla for sending to me!

20131017-104439.jpg
Even the bottle for Floralilac is special. I love the cap with the flowers on it, it makes it easy to find.
I think you all know I really love Catrice as a brand of nail polish. One of the things that make this brand special is the brush is just a bit wider than most brushes. It’s not as wide as the Sally Hansen CSM or the WnW Mega Last, but it’s wide enough to be able to paint your nails with one swipe. The formula is so great and with the added benefit of the brush, using Catrice makes painting your nails easier than ever.
Where to purchase: Catrice is a German company and some of their polish is made in Italy. I did not find it for sale on Amazon (shocker!) but I did find Catrice for sale on the Ninja Polish website. They carry the core colors as well as special and limited editions. The cost of 1 bottle is $10.

I do hope you try it, if you have a chance to. It’s a great polish and I’m so lucky for the ones I have that were sent to me by my great friends Nicky and Carla! Thanks again you guys, you’re the best!

Recently I received the nicest nail mail from my friend Carla , who lives in Germany and writes a great nail blog. I hope you check her out, she has an amazing collection of CHANEL, both new and vintage that she so generously shares with all of us.

20130928-150845.jpg
From the selection she sent, I thought the first one I would try would be the Catrice Florlliac but actually the first one was Allure from Catrice’s Thrilling Me Softly collection, which I believe is a new collection.

20130928-151118.jpg
Allure from Catrice is one of the prettiest red nail polishes I’ve seen and now own. It is most definitely red, and has just a touch of a metallic finish which gives it so much interest. It is not a metallic finish, it is a cream finish. When the light is just right you do see a bit of metallic. Like I said it is an interesting polish . I’ve enjoyed wearing it the last couple of days, and I know this will be one of my favorites this fall and winter. Especially during the holidays. It’s a great party color.

20130928-151440.jpg
I just noticed from the pictures I have some clean up to do, which can be expected with a bright red. I did not use an extra base coat except for my Nail Envy by OPI which as you all know, I never do my nails without Nail Envy first applied to my bare nails.
One of the things I like about Catrice brand of nail polish is they will mark on the bottles things like “Be sure to use a base coat” –Be Pool, a blue polish or This polish requires 2 coats” Sold Out Forever – a very light green/blue . Upfront you know what you’re getting into. Just another of the many reasons I like this brand so much!
Catrice brand is made in Luxembourg, and not available in the states, except I did find it on Amazon. If you go to Amazon you will find a good selection of 12-15 Catrice nail polish. If you haven’t tried it yet, what are you waiting for? It is a great polish. The round bottles are .33 ounce, and the brush is a little bit wider then say a Revlon brush, but not as wide as Wet N Wild Mega Last or Sally Hansen CSM. The brush is very manageable.
You know I’m giving this one 5/5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. Great color, great brand and great friends is what I think of when I hear the name Catrice and I hope you all get a chance to try it.

Please let me know if you do!

Will You Berry Me? From Catrice is a gorgeous berry cream. 1 coat would have more than adequate, but I did do 2 coats and (gasp!) no top coat! I feel as if I’m half naked. I received the sweetest package of nail mail from my friend in Germany. She sent me 2 Catrice and 1 Essence along with some Dior eye cream samples. (The samples were to throw off the customs) and it worked. Although I’ve had problems with receiving packages mailed from the UK, Germany doesn’t seem to be as strict, but nevertheless I am not going to identify my friend or link her blog, just in case. I would hate for her to get into trouble.
Catrice Nail Polish is made in Luxemburg, it is a drug store polish although I believe itis more expensive than Barry M. Catrice has some of the cutest names for their polish, Hip Queens Wear Blue Jeans always cracks me up! The polish itself is very high quality and could easily, in my opinion be a high end polish. It reminds me of EstΓ©e Lauder polishes with the way the formula is so smooth and easy to apply. The brushes are shorter, with a flatter brush, but not as wide as Wet n Wild Mega Last or Sally Hansen CSM. You can purchase Catrice through Amazon. I never have, but just be sure to check out the seller’s feedback profile before ordering and I’m sure it will be fine. I give every Catrice polish I’ve tried 5/5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Not a clunker in the bunch!

These are Even More Heavy Metallilac and the original Heavy Metallilac. I wanted you to se them side by side so you can see the difference. The Even More Heavy Metallilac is a much deeper, richer purple. Heavy Metallilac was my Mom’s all time favorite polish. It will be a while before I can wear that one. i am so happy to have Even More Heavy Metallilac and I would have worn it first, but the Will You Berry Me? matches my dress perfectly. I have a Service League meeting to go to today, otherwise I would be rocking Even More Heavy Metallilac for sure.

This is Ice, Ice Baby from Essence Ice Cream series. What a perfect lady like pink. We all need those in certain occasions!

Thanks so much to my sweet friend who lives in Germany. I really appreciate you sending these to me. And, oh btw, if you want to check out a great blog from Germany πŸ˜‰

Welcome to Roosywood by Catrice is a nice ‘dusty’ rose with a hint of brown color. I consider this color a neutral and really love it with my skin tone. I don’t know why I haven’t worn it before. This is my pick for Week 29 of the Nail Polish Lottery Club. The number drawn was 172, and since I don’t have 172 un-tried polishes I used 1+7+2=10 to get this Catrice polish. Catrice is a German made polish and not readily available in the States. I think eBay or Amazon would be your best bet to find Catrice nail polish.. If you do have an opportunity to buy it, do it!!. Itis a great polish with some unique colors and I love their names. The formula is not too thick and not too thin, the brush is a bit wider than most but not as wide as the Sally Hansen CSM or the Wet n Wild Mega Last.

This is after 2 days wear. I did 2 coats along with a quick dry top coat. I was careful to wrap my tips as I wanted this to last through work and it did just fine. There is a minuscule amount of tip wear on my right hand but not bad. I am happy to give Welcome to Roosywood . 5/5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

20130727-213016.jpg
If you cannot find Catrice Welcome to Roosywod I found these in my collection that are very similar. The first one on the left is from L’Oreal Smell the Roses, one of my favorite neutrals. The middle swatch is from Wet n Wild called Undercover. These are both great alternatives to Welcome to Roosywood even though WtR is a bit more rosy and a little but darker.

For more information about The Nail Polish Lottery Club , please go to our Facebook page. There you can see all the postings and get a chance to meet our fabulous members. We have so much fun sharing our picks from the weeks number that is drawn every Monday at 1pm PST. Everyone is welcome to join, or just like our page,it would mean a lot to all of us. We do not expect everyone to participate every single week, although a large amount do, and even if you just wanted to share once in a while, that is fine as well. So go to Facebook. We look forward to seeing you there!

This week’s # NPLClub’s number was 21. As I organize my un-tried polish by brand and then by color, this put me right in the middle of the Catrice I have on my list. One thing I learned, the hard way, is that most of the Catrice polishes I had on my list of un-tried should not have been on there! For my 1st #21 was a Catrice called “Hip Queens Wear Blue Jeans”. I have worn that to death! The bottle is all but empty. Then on the list was How I Matt Your Mother another one of my favorites that I have worn over and over again, so that left me with Dirty Berry:

20130421-200528.jpg
Catrice Dirty Berry is right up my alley as far as color and texture go. I love this polish and I don’t know how it is on my un-tried list. This is a mixture of blue and purple, its not exactly blue and not exactly purple either. It’s like that favorite pair of jeans you wear around the house but you change out of if you’re going to the grocery store. To be honest with you, I think it got pushed to the back and forgot about. I think it is so pretty, you better believe I’ll be wearing this one a lot this spring/summer.

20130421-200918.jpg
One of the things I like about this polish is it still has the smaller brush than the newer Catrice, with their short , fat brushes. huh?. I know I usually love the short, fat brushes but not this time, I like this brush. It picked up just the right amount of polish and there was no flooding of the cuticles. With “Steel Her Heart” and “How I Matt Your Mother you have to be careful because those short, fat little brushes pick up way too much polish and just when you think all is well, dang there goes a drop and next thing you know, you’ve got flooded cuticles. Another thing I learned the hard way!

As I was cleaning out a cupboard this week I found an old caboodle, inside the old caboodle was full of model paint and this small bear. This small bear is named Jilly Bear. That was the spelling and everything on the package so of course I had to have her and now I have her with me always. I haven’t shown Jilly yet but I told Drew about it. He wants the caboodle, he was more excited about that than anything. He said he remembered the girls always had their caboodles for make up and nail polish and he never had one so one year for his Christmas money he bought this one and kept his model paint in it. Who knew? I figured he would be happy about the model paint! ( I was hoping to use the caboodle for myself ).
