I often get asked what is the best brand of nail polish. Because of that, I have been working all summer on comparing different brands of nail polish. I compared over 3⃣0⃣brands of nail polish, all available in the US. Meaning this comparison of brands does not include any Barry M or other brands only available in the UK. I scored the different brands using these 5 items of criteria: brush/bottle, formula, price, dry time, and wear. These are the items that are important to me in a nail polish. When I was finished there were 3 brands that had all 5/5 stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This is the complete list of polish I compared in this “study”. These are in alphabetical order

20120708-150410.jpgThis is part of my “Sunday Series” that I have been doing here for quite some time. Sunday’s I pick a polish, from my collection, that for whatever reason, I’ve never worn. Sadly, I do have quite a few polishes that will fit into this category.
I need a snappy name for this series. What do you think I should call it? I will take into account any and all suggestions, so please leave me a comment with your idea for a name for my ‘ Sunday Series’.. So lame right?😝

Interestingly enough, today’s polish could also go along with my I Must Really Like This Color series because, after choosing this polish and painting my nails I found that it is almost identical to Butter London Yummy Mummy and of course Butter London All Hail the Queen, as those two are so similar to each other.

This polish is also a lot like Ciate Cream Tea

20120708-152336.jpgAnd it is a close cousin to Zoya Pasha.

20120708-152433.jpgAlong with these colors I could also add , Essie Chinchilly, Venique Shh… Quiet, and Revlon Grey Suede. So like the title of this particular series says, I must really like this color.. And I do!

**👣As a foot note to yesterday’s crazy manicure, remember the multi colored extravaganza? By last evening when all my chores were done, the manicure was a wreck. The first to go was Essie Play Date, then OPI Skull & Glossbones and Sally Hansen Pacific Blue were next almost equal to the Wet n Wild. Which I thought would last the longest. The longest lasting, or I should say the ones that looked the best at the end of the day was the Venique Heel d’ Orseey, China Glaze Pink Voltage and the Revlon Grey Suede. Those all looked fine. I will have another crazy manicure coming soon. This will be my CHANEL, Orly, MAC, CND, Nina Pro, Essence, butter London and a few one of’s I have. 👣
Thanks for stopping by.

This chapter of my collection is heavy with gifts from friends. This is why I like this wheel so much, pretty colors, not all the same colors. As you all know I tend to buy the same color over and over again! 😝
That’s part of why it is so much fun to receive polish from my friends on my birthday. I get different brands that I don’t have access to and I get the best colors this way.

When looking at this wheel of gorgeousness there are a couple of colors that immediately pop, one is from China Glaze For Audrey

The other one is the Pink Sterling Rose from Orly. My friend April sent me quite a few Orly polishes because I told her I didn’t have any Orly. Orly is her favorite brand so she sent me these, along with a couple of others.

My favorites of those is, well, all of them. They are all beautiful. I just took off Fowl Play. I love to wear the Sterling Rose with the Buried Treasue just on each accent nail. Looks so pretty with my rose gold watch and it looks good with MK handbag as well. I also love Go Go Pink from China Glaze. This was purchased with a kit containing the polish, a Seche Vite top coat and a little angel charm. Part of the proceeds went to breast cancer research. I still have the little angel charm on my key chain.

And finally, one of my top 5 polishes of all time would have to be Cords by China Glaze. I like the dirty purple, sandy, goldy color of this polish. As the light hits it goes from an white to dark asphalt color. Just my kind of polish.

The marathon continues with Part 6 coming soon. You will be amazed and delighted by selections from Model’s Own, CND, a Gosh or 2, and more fabulous polishes you won’t want to miss.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I appreciate your support.
💅Remember to Stay Calm and Paint your Nails!

While scouring the Internet for pictures of the new CHANEL Summer 2012 nail polish colors I came across this new manicure, out of England. The developer of Ciate polish invented this manicure, called “caviar”. Perfectly named, don’t you think?

On their website they have available a kit, with instructions on applying all those little beads at home. There is a funnel involved.

This company also offers a kit for the Louboutin manicure. This is adorable, you need long nails for this. They have duplicated the signature red color from the high end shoe designer to use under your nails, the topcoat can be whatever color your shoes are!

Check out their website here: Ciate Nail Poish
The caviar page said it will be soon available at Sephora and Sephora.com
I checked the Sephora site and it is not there yet. I think somewhere it said in April. If so, it will be soon! What do you think of the caviar manicure? The Louboutin? Will you try either one?
And by the way, here are the new colors from CHANEL for Summer 2012

They are Island, Delight and Holiday. 🙂
