50 Shades of Sunday! This is the new name for my Sunday series. This is where I wear a polish from my collection, that for whatever reason, I have never worn. Last week I put it out there that I wish I could think of a snappy name for this series. Thanks to Debbie, one of my You Tube viewers for coming up with this name. I love it, and I think it fits perfectly with the idea behind this series. So, thanks again, Debbie.
This is my girl Ashley, from Jud and Dorothy.. I know some of you think Ashley is my daughter, I’ve even had comments that we “look” just alike. (I’m sure Ashley is disconcerted by those, but I’m complimented by them). Ashley is not my daughter but I love her just as much as if she were my daughter. I call her my girl because she is a part of my family. Family goes far beyond the term friend, but that’s what she is, family. Both Ashley and her dad, Jud.
I like this picture of us because I look so darn skinny! And, just look at that smile on Ashley. Gorgeous!.
Back to the polish: Ashley, from Zoya. I wonder just how many people own this polish because of the name? I was going to Google search just how popular the name ‘Ashley’ is, but I don’t have to, I know how popular it is. When the kids were in grade school, they went to a small, private Catholic school. The school only goes to 6th grade, then they went into the public schools. I’m not saying Ashley’s last name, but it is a pretty common name. It’s not Smith or Jones, but common. There were so many Ashleys in the public school, they went by their last names a lot, but Ashley had another girl in her class with the same last name so she had to go by Ashley B. which is her middle initial. I tell you all this so you get the idea, Ashley is a popular name.
When ordering Zoya polish, I searched the names of my loved ones, Jilly, Jillian, Jill, no. But Drew and Ashley, yes! So of course, I got polish with the names Drew and Ashley. I have worn the Drew polish.. When I was looking through my polish collection last night, back in the corner of my new rack were the 2 from Zoya I will always have. I’ve been thinking about Ashley a lot these days and it just made sense, to me, that this is what I will wear this week. This color is a dark maroon with a charcoal stripe running through it. Very mysterious. The formula was a bit goopy. I always paint my nails with 2 thin coats of polish and then a top coat. I think this would have been fine with one normal coat.
I hope you can see what I’m talking about with the charcoal stripe running through this polish. I think it really gives it depth of color. Do I have other polishes this color? Of course! Revlon Vixen (Vamp dupe) Raven Red, Foxy and Raisin Rage are all very similar, not exact but close.
Finally, one of my favorite pictures of my kids. This was the first day of public school for Drew. I have a picture for the first day of school for each and every year, but this is my favorite. To this day, these 3 are a lot like this picture. Drew is the big brother to both my girls. Those 3 faces are my whole world. 💗
TJ Maxx ~ Haul?

TJ Maxx just opened a store in my town. I’d never been to one before so really looked forward to shopping there. I’d heard on You Tube all the time about great deals people got from that store. It opened Sunday, my girls and I went but it was so packed with people that shopping was pretty much impossible. I saw a lot of people I hadn’t seen for a while, saw a new baby from a friend, and did a lot of visiting.
The next day Ashley and I went and it was much better. Not crowded at all. We actually shopped. Ashley shopped for some clothes and shoes. She is one of those skinny bitches that can wear anything and look adorable, she bought a couple of cute summer shirts. I bought the nail polish charm by Juicy Couture. It is so cute, and meant just for me! It even has a crown on top of the little bottle!
Sorry, the pictures are blurred, as you know the only camera I have is my iPad, it is what it is! I also bought this wallet
It is lined with polka dots. I really didn't want the wallet and after the guy rang me up I wanted to take it off but he didn't know how to do that. He called someone over, and they didn't know how to do that. She brought out a huge notebook to look it up and I decided I would keep the wallet. It's cute, I'll use it, even though it's an awful lot like the one I have.
Oh well! I think I’m going to like our new TJ Maxx store. One little problem though, they had an item there that was exact to an item at Ross (right next door) but TJ Maxx was $3 higher. So I will have to watch that kind of stuff! 🙂
On my nails today: Essie Play Date with accent nails in Model’s Own Disco Mix. Love the glitter, which usually I’m not so much into the glitter. This is such a pretty sparkle in the sunshine, I really can’t take my eyes off it. My friend Nicky sent this to me from Ireland, thank you Nic!
