Okay, so here we go again. The Gorgeous Grape from Sunday didn’t last the day. I don’t know what it is about that polish, I can’t seem to wear it for 24 hours. It’s a pretty color, and right up my alley as far as the dirty, muddy kind of colors go. But I did remove it. Then I had a hard time deciding what I wanted until I came across this one.

So pretty and so bright. I am going to keep this on until it chips and I will include the results for my brand comparison ‘study’ I am working on.

This is Betty. She is sleeping and snoring with her head on her teddy bear. Sorry this is blurry, it was across the dining room and foyer into the living room. If I’d moved to get closer, she would have woke up. I wish I could add video of her snoring, it’s somewhat soothing. Maybe I should turn on the TV or a radio!

—I also want to thank all of you for your support in my recent decision to close my You Tube channel. I will not be returning in the capacity of making videos but I am still watching all my favorite people. Your kindness and friendship means so much to me. :)——

This is Essie Play Date with two coats of Julep Portia on top. Can you say sparklefest? This box arrived at my house yesterday. This is my daughter’s subscription, but of course I opened it, I mention only because this does not count towards my Lenten challenge of not buying any nail polish during Lent. With that said, Julep always packages their boxes so nice.

Everything was in the pretty purple sack, then tied with a ribbon and a nail file attached. The nail file is just a nice little extra thrown in. Last month they had chocolate bars shaped like Oscars. The BoHo Glam Maven box this month included the Portia polish, shown above and Alicia, which is an orangey, sherbety color. Every month they include a beauty product, this month is a jar of Elixir Organic Moroccan Argan oil, 1fl oz. This color wheel shows all the Julep polishes I have.

Starting on the left, Portia, Blake, Meryl, Alicia, Carrie, Maria, Heather, Anne, Taylor, Megan, Marisa, and Elizabeth. These are all two coats but I can say that Blake, Alicia, and Marisa only needed one coat. The formula is smooth, the brush is ample, and the colors are spot on trend for spring/summer. This is a monthly subscription plan which is $19.99 per month. You can skip a month, send to a friend, or cancel. They send an email monthly showing what will be in your box. If you don’t care for that box you can pick whichever box you want, and you can even go back a month. They are really nice people to work with, and no surprise here, I love this company. The best part is they have great deals with different discounts. Right now they have a discount code: COLOR2012, which charges you ONE PENNY for your first box! ONE RED CENT gets you all I’ve shown here. Go to Julep Maven Program
I don’t know how long the one penny promotion will last so go sooner, rather than later. Also, just so you know, if you go on the link above I do get a credit towards my monthly boxes. 😉
Update 03.08.12: Just saw a new ONE CENT code: MARCHINTRO

Each store has a cash back percentage, some more, some less. In 2015 my cash back amount was $138. I didn't do a lot of shopping because of, well you know. Try it, and please use my link because yes I do get a part of that back. I promise it will all go back into my blog to purchase nail polish lipstick and other items to review for you. Trust me, you have nothing to lose. I know I was very skeptical but now I just have to remember to go to ebates.com first! Let me know what you think.

Haute Look for Amazing Deals ~ A Nordstrom Company

HAUTELOOK is a Nordstrom company. They have a return policy that allows you to return items purchased online to be re- turned to their Rack stores. I have never had a bad experience shopping at Nordstrom nor HAUTELOOK. I HGHLY RECOMMEND BOTH STORES. Be sure to go to Hautelook on Monday Dec 1st To see what great deals they will have on butter LONDON polish. Butter LONDON is a mid-priced polish with a high end quality. I'll see you there, bright and early! http://www.hautelook.com/short/3Bg7v
